Popular influencer, Melissa Mae Carlton, has announced the loss of another daughter, Molly, one year after suddenly losing their other daughter, Abigail.
A mother's world is filled with her children, and influencer, Melissa Mae Carlton's world suffered a major devastation as the influencer announced the death of her youngest daughter, Molly. The little one passed away suddenly on Christmas Day 2025, leaving Melissa's family and friends in shock. The grieving mother took to her Instagram handle and revealed that their family "was in total shock and disbelief" at the sudden happening.
However, she added that Molly always wanted to see her older sister, who passed away a year ago, and felt a "small sense of comfort" knowing the two are reunited in heaven. But it did not stop her from worrying over dealing with her future life as she penned, "I am scared of what life looks like now for us. I am heartbroken for our children." Melissa Mae Carlton is a renowned faith-based lifestyle influencer who has documented her journey of motherhood, loss, and spirituality through her social media handle. She has managed to establish a supportive online community with candid storytelling, supporting similar families who cope and heal from the loss of their loved ones. Melissa once shared:

Melissa Mae Carlton tied the knot with her childrhood friend and husband, Tom Carlton. They celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary on Nov 14, 2025, and welcomed four kids together, namely Lily, Harry, Abigail, and Molly. Previously, their daughter, Abigail, died expectedly in April 2024 at 9. The influencer also calls Lily, her eldest child, and the "first joy" in her life.
Harry is deeply rooted in their church faith after his baptism. Meanwhile, she once described her youngest child, Molly, as their light. Melissa received widespread support from her followers, church community, and others who surrounded her with "love, prayer, and strength".
After Molly's death, Melissa shared a medical clarification about the cause of her daughter's death. She explained that doctors believe Molly suffered from some genetic heart condition, and it could have also affected Abigail. In the case of Molly, she was evaluated at the hospital, allowing them to identify the cause. However, Abigail passed away too quickly in 2024 for doctors to diagnose her condition at that time. She initially showed symptoms of sepsis before her death, which would have been a suspected heart condition where even a cardiac arrest can be easily triggered. Therefore, the family has now undergone genetic testing.
