The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 will return to Bravo on April 5, 2026, bringing back some familiar faces and some new cast members. And among the new joinees is musician, mom and wife, K. Michelle. Yes! The Queen Court alum is all set to make an appearance on the much-loved reality show.

Michelle, is not new to the spotlight and this time she will be bringing her 'queen energy' to The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17. So, as we wait for the show to premiere. K. Michelle is an artist, entrepreneur, author, executive, actress, musician, TV personality and restaurateur. According to Essence, she was born on March 4, 1982 and hails from Memphis, Tennessee. She is often seen rocking her home state merchandise. She even shared the same in an Instagram post on January 1, 2026, while wearing a cropped Tennessee tank top.
According to K. Michelle's Bravo bio, she has over 12 million followers on social media and dabbles in several fields professionally. She is an "artist, entrepreneur, author, executive, actress, television personality, and restaurateur". Apart from that, she has also made a name for herself in the R&B industry before recently pivoting into country music, and she is now very excited to be a housewife on RHOA Season 17. Michelle has released five consecutive Billboard-charting albums, which in itself is a testament to her hard work and talent. Talking about her personal life, the soon-to-be The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 star, K. Michelle, is married to Dr Katan Sims. According to Hot 97, he is a practising dentist from Memphis. Michelle took to Instagram in September 2025, where she shared insights into their relationship, posting a video filled with photos and clips of them from over the years. The post was a rare insight into the couple's relationship. She was quoted as saying:
"See, I usually don't do this. Thank you Dr Sims. I love you, and I'm happy to be your wife. I know I've driven you insane, but I'm worth it. It's time to plan a wedding. Who would've thought? Been in love with you since Junior High School."
While K. Michelle is now happily married to Dr Katan Sims, she was previously in a relationship with actor Idris Elba. The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 17 star, during her appearance on the Wendy Williams Show in 2014, reflected on her bond with Elba and shared that after they first met at the Soul Train Awards, they "just clicked." She was quoted as saying:

K. Michelle is a doting mother to her son, Chase. "My son Chase is the centre of my universe.
