According to a report by Parade, Eva Longoria’s third husband, Jose Baston, is a Mexican businessman and producer. He is the founder and CEO of Elefantec Global, an independent film and TV studio. Previously, Jose was the president of Televisa, one of the largest media and telecommunications corporations of Latin America. Coming to his personal life, Jose was married twice. Before tying the knot with Eva, Jose was married to Mexican actress, Natalia Esperon from 1995 to 2005. With Natalia, Jose has four children. Jose is a father of five children. He shares one child with Eva.
In a 2017 interview with People, Eva Longoria got candid about her relationship with Jose Baston. She shared that some days it felt like they had been together for more than 40 years, and on other days, it felt like they had just met. Eva mentioned that they are just very compatible. She highlighted that both of them love the same things and enjoy every moment. She was quoted as saying:
"Some days it feels like we’ve been together 40 years, and other days it feels like we just met. We’re just so compatible. He’s like, ‘Let’s go paddleboarding,’ and I’m like, ‘Great!’ I’ll say, ‘Let’s have sushi,’ and he goes, ‘Sure.’ We love the same things — family, friends and travelling — so there’s not a lot we’ve learned separately about each other, but there’s a lot we learned together about life."
In a 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Eva shared that despite having a very busy work schedule, both she and her husband, Jose, have made it a habit to connect every single day. They discuss their whole day during the night when they are together. She added that there was so much to talk about and they love this time together. She was quoted as saying:
"We make it a big priority to connect every day. Plus, we are so busy in our day that at night we’re like, ‘Oh my god.’ And we’re so excited about what we did and what we produced and how productive we were. And we have so much to talk about, that we actually love unplugging and just talking at the end of each night."
In a 2017 interview with People, Eva Longoria revealed that she and Jose were first introduced by a mutual friend in 2013. At the time, both were coming out of a relationship. Six months later, when the mutual friend reintroduced them, they had an immediate connection. Recalling the moment, Eva said:
"I was getting out of a bad relationship, and he was getting out of a relationship, so there wasn’t a connection. There was no real connection. I had no memory of meeting him the first time, but we had immediate sparks. He was so charismatic, charming, sweet and funny. I thought, ‘Who is this guy?!’ I want to yell from the highest mountaintop about everything that goes on with us because I’m so happy and excited to be with a person as kind as Pepe is. He is probably one of the first men I’ve dated that has been older and established and, basically, a grown-up."
