David Malukas has risen to fame after giving a stern challenge to Indianapolis 500 winner, Felix Rosenqvist and finishing in second place.
After a nail-biting finish at the 2026 Indianapolis 500, IndyCar driver David Malukas has emerged as the first runner-up. In turn, he has also become one of the most talked-about names in motorsports. The 24-year-old young racer narrowly missed becoming the iconic winner against Felix Rosenqvist. But regardless of the result, his performance has won over fans. Since he has been impressing fans with one great performance after another, they are naturally curious about his girlfriend and family life.
According to a report by People Magazine and other racing outlets, David Malukas is currently dating Kamila Jurkus. She has often been seen supporting him at major race weekends and IndyCar events. Kamila is an Illinois-based civil engineer. She completed her education at the University of Alabama in 2023. Alongside, she has a background in corporate, and she even reached the finals of the 2022 Miss Illinois USA pageant.
Kamila shared her first picture with the race car driver on Instagram in 2025. She captioned it with a fun caption: "I guess I'm into racing now." It confirmed their bond to the world. Since then, she has become a regular face in the IndyCar paddock. In fact, fans often see her lending her support by cheering for David at his races. Some reports allegedly claim that she is presently working as a Senior Business Development and Customer Success Manager at HMD Transport. Notably, the company is owned by David's family.
David and Kamila's relationship became strong during the 2025 IndyCar season. Later, she shared several moments from the racing circuit and called it her "first IndyCar season." At the same time, she mentioned that she was looking forward to "season two" with David. A while ago, she was also seen cheering for him after his second-place finish at the 2026 Indianapolis 500.
David Malukas was born to Lithuanian immigrant parents, Henry and Daiva Malukas. They came from Lithuania to the United States in 1991. It was after the collapse of the Soviet Union. After building a stable life in Chicago, they established a successful trucking and logistics business called HMD Transport. Gradually, they launched HMd motorsports and it has become one of the top teams in the INDY NXT racing series. Meanwhile, David's father, Henry, has been instrumental in quelling his son's racing dreams. The driver is both fluent in English and Lithuanian, proudly representing his heritage.
David was one of the most anticipated races in Indianapolis 500. It is safe to say he did not disappoint with his performance especially at 24. Although, he is still looking his first official IndyCar Series win, he has become as one of the league's leading budding talents. Now, his recent performance at the 2026 Indianapolis 500 has further increased his stature after he narrowly missed the win.
