According to reports, Salman has begun shooting for Bigg Boss 20 before its premiere on September 6, 2026. A while back, Salman took to his Instagram handle to share a four-picture carousel from the set of Bigg Boss 20.
Meanwhile, two starry performances of two female contestants have surfaced online. While it is still unknown which famous personalities will be seen in Bigg Boss 20, Bigg Boss Khabri has confirmed BB 20’s first contestant. It is none other than TV actress Kanika Mann.
Kanika Mann was born on October 7, 1993, in Panipat, Haryana. She is well known for her role in the TV soap opera, Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. She made her TV debut with the romantic drama TV series Badho Bahu. In 2022, she participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi. She made her acting debut with the music video, Roohafza. Kanika has tried her luck in films and appeared in the Punjabi film, Rocky Mental. She holds a Master of Laws degree from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She began her career as a model.
In a candid conversation with Bold Outline, Kanika was asked about her early struggles. In response, the Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega actress shared that his father initially was against her wish to pursue acting. In fact, he didn’t even allow her to perform at school functions. He considered that these things might distract Kanika from her academics. But later in life, it was Kanika’s father who helped her with her first audition. She said:
"It was written in my destiny to be an actor, but my father wasn’t thrilled about it. But now he encourages me to attend events and parties."
During the same conversation, Kanika shared that she began her career with Punjabi music videos while she studied law at Panjab University. She revealed that during her final year of college, Kanika shot around 70 to 80 videos. Kanika also starred in Ektaa Kapoor’s Naagin 7. She played a prominent role in the supernatural TV series. She played a grey character in Naagin 7. In an interview, Kanika stated that she always wanted to do a role which does feel real, layered and a little unpredictable. She was quoted as saying:
"What truly attracted me was the honesty of the character. I have always wanted to explore roles that feel real, layered, and a little unpredictable- characters that do not fit into boxes. This character is not trying to be good or bad. She exists in a grey space, and that felt very human to me. As actors, we grow when we allow ourselves to explore complexity, and this role offered layers I had not tapped into before. I am genuinely enjoying this space because it challenges me creatively."
Bigg Boss 20 is scheduled to premiere on September 6, 2026. The reality show hosted by Salman Khan will stream on JioHotstar first at 9 pm and will later also air on Colors TV at 10:30 pm. While fans are eagerly waiting to know about the contestants, according to reports, Mahhi Vij, Kushal Tanwar (Gullu), Arshifa Khan, Isha Rikhi, Qazi Touqeer, Nitish Rajput, Rhiti Tiwari, Faisal Khan, Showik Chakraborty, and Love Gill are expected to be seen. As of now, Kanika Mann is the first confirmed contestant of Bigg Boss 20.
