In a piece of heartbreaking news, the oldest member of The Osmonds, Alan Osmond, passed away on April 20, 2026. He was 76 years old, as confirmed by a family spokesperson, who provided the confirmation to ABC4 Utah. Well, Alan was married to Suzanne Pinegar Osmond, and the pair had eight children together. The names of Suzanne and Alan's kids are- Michael, Nathan, David, Douglas, Scott, Alex, Joshua and Daniel.
Suzanne Pinegar Osmond, along with her eight kids, was present when Alan took his last breath, according to a KUTV report. Alan had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 40 years ago and was suffering from the same. Now, amid the demise of Alan, the entire focus has come on his wife, Suzanne Pinegar Osmond.
Alan Osmond's wife, Suzanne, was born on May 11, 1953, in Spanish Fork, Utah, into a very large family. She was raised with many traditional values in a close-knit home, and there was a strong emphasis on faith and discipline in her community. Suzanne was raised in a busy family of six kids and had completed her education from Brigham Young University. Alan and Suzanne, together, according to a report by Primetimer.com, have 30 grandchildren. An earlier Page Six report revealed that before Suzanne married Alan, she had a typical American upbringing. She was known to be very active in her school, and little did she know that at Brigham University, where she was a cheerleader, she would meet the love of her life, Alan.
Alan and Suzanne's first date was at Y Mountain, located in Utah, according to a report by the Herald Extra. It was on July 16, 1974, back at the Provo LDS Temple that Alan and Suzanne got married. On the day of his marriage, he was on stage performing, like he had two gigs back in Las Vegas. Suzanne did reveal that Alan had stolen her heart and in a Page Six interview shared:
"When I said yes, I’ll marry you, I didn’t know what I was getting into. Despite his MS diagnosis, he refused to be defined by the condition and lived by the motto, I may have MS, but MS does not have me! But, his illness forced him to ultimately retire from live performing. Our life has been non-stop and I wouldn’t change a thing."
Alan was the leader of the Osmond Brothers Group, which first became famous due to Andy Williams. Suzanne and Alan were in the same university, and when he once saw her cheering, he felt butterflies in his stomach. After the game he went on the floor and met Suzanne. Their first date was on a motorcycle at the Y Mountain. It is said that within a month the couple realised that they were meant for a forever and got married.
On the first night of their wedding, the pair had to board a plane for Las Vegas as Alan had two shows with the Brothers at the famous Tropicana Hotel. That is how their first night of marriage looked like. Reportedly, it was also for the first time that Suzanne saw Alan performing and was amazed seeing at all the things that he could actually do on the stage. According to the publication, Alan Osmond had confessed that he had dated and been out with many girls, but no one was like his wife, Suzanne. Alan had shared:
I went out with a lot of different people. She stole my heart. She’s my real girl.”
