Wedding Decorators In Rajasthan Make An Amazing Move To Stop Child Marriage

Wedding decorators in Rajasthan have come together and done something, which high authorities and government bodies were unable to do since a long time!

Yes, they have stood their ground against child marriage, a malpractice that has long prevailed in the largest state in India.

An association called ‘Rajasthan Tent Dealers Kiraya Vyavsai Samiti’ has asked 47,000 tent dealers and decorators in the state to refrain from providing tents and other wedding equipment to any marriage that involves minors.

The president of the said group, Ravi Jindal, said that they have adopted various measures like checking the birth certificates of the bride and the groom to ensure their age.

The decision by the group came forth now because Akha Teej is just around the corner and the people of Rajasthan consider it the most auspicious time for matrimony.
