Weddings are an amazing time to have fun with family and friends. However, some weddings are plagued by uninvited guests who enter, eat and party away without anyone noticing! Having those uninvited guests at your wedding might just end up ruining your day. As you will be busy on your D-day, it would be impossible for you to keep a check on these wedding crashers. You need to think of how to avoid this situation from blowing up the budget. Wedding crashers are an inevitable part and parcel of Indian weddings, but there is a way you can deal with them. #1. Specify the number of guests invited

Now this might seem a little difficult in India, but if you are persistent enough, it will work. Write the number of guests who are expected in a separate card inside the card itself. If you can afford it, send RSVP cards inside the invite itself. These cards should be printed with a space for the number of guests who are expected, and they should have your return address and stamp ready on it.

#2. Ask all guests to carry the invitation

This is again going to be difficult in India, but give it a shot. After all, you will be able to recognise all close relatives. To prevent authentic guests (who have forgotten their invites) from being stopped at the gates, station a few close relatives at the door with a guest list of expected people.

#3. Stamp all hands

Again this might seem silly, but it will work. As soon as guests have been verified, use a silly rubber stamp to leave coloured imprints on their hands. This will help the caterer confirm guests and plates for the catering bill.

#4. Talk to guests

At most weddings, the bride and groom are the centre of all attention, and too busy enjoying themselves. But, do take the time to interact with all your guests at some point in your wedding. You are more likely to catch wedding crashers this way. If possible, set up a bouncer at the venue entrance and ask them for help to weeding out suspicious guests.
