Was Nancy Guthrie in Mexico?

According to TMZ, Nancy Guthrie's missing-person case has seen a recent development after an anonymous tipster reportedly tried to contact media outlets for weeks. According to reports, the individual had sent messages to these outlets that he had seen Nancy Guthrie alive with her alleged kidnappers in Sonara Mexico. For those unaware, the region is situated on the border of Arizona, the place from where Nancy went missing months ago. Sharing his information, the tipster said:

"I saw her alive with them in the state of Sonora, Mexico."

Although the tipster provided a specific location in his message, the claim became even more confusing when the same person quickly added that Nancy might no longer be alive. Subsequently, the contradiction of his claims has raised more questions. Things do not stop here because the tipster has demanded a payment in Bitcoin in exchange for sharing the details about the 84-year-old's alleged kidnappers.

Moreover, the person initially asked for 1 Bitcoin but soon said he would accept Passes' payment upfront, with the rest when his information helped the authorities catch the alleged kidnappers. Notably, the individual also revealed that he/she has no connection to the crime and has been living outside the United States for several years. But authorities are still sceptical of these claims. According to the tipster's words:

"It's unbelievable that millions have been wasted and yet here I am willing to deliver them on a silver platter since February 11 for a bitcoin, but I am disregarded as a scam ... they are free, and the case is frozen, but the egos remain hot when it comes to me. Arrogance at its finest."

Some reports suggest the information was already shared with federal agencies sometime ago, but they did not confirm whether the tip is being investigated or is credible.
