Mary Cosby is one of the most well-known American television personalities. Most people recognise her for her stint on Bravo's reality TV series, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. In her personal life, she was married to Dana Harris, whom she divorced in September 1998. Following this, Mary married her now-husband, Bishop Robert C. Cosby, who is also her step-grandfather, in September 1998. Together, they welcomed one son, Robert Jr. Cosby, who recently passed away at the age of 23 on February 23, 2026. With fans wondering whether Robert Jr.'s funeral was filmed for the upcoming RHOSLC Season 7, here's everything we know.

Mary Cosby's son, Robert Cosby Jr., had a funeral held over the weekend, on March 7, 2026. Ever since fans learnt about this, they have been wondering whether Robert Jr.'s funeral was filmed for the upcoming Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. For the unversed, Season 6, which featured Mary Cosby, Lisa Barlow, Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, Angie Katsenevas, Bronwyn Newport, Meridith Marks, and Britani Bateman, wrapped filming in 2025 and aired in the fall of the same year. Following this, the cast was set to return to filming for RHOSLC Season 7.

However, filming has reportedly been postponed since the tragic demise of Robert Jr. Recently, TMZ revealed that sources close to the show have also revealed that there were no cameras rolling during Robert Jr.'s funeral this weekend. This means his funeral won't be featured on RHOSLC Season 7 when it airs. Although several producers and even the members of the RHOSLC cast were present during the Saturday service to pay their respects.

On Monday, March 9, 2026, Andy Cohen confirmed on SiriusXM that other members of the Bravo family who showed up for Mary during this difficult time by attending the service included Shereé Whitfield, Cynthia Bailey, and Kyle Richards. Andy reportedly called them the “real ones”, and rightfully so.

Mary Cosby's son, Robert Jr. Cosby, is being remembered as a “gifted young man” in the obituary after his death 

For those unaware, the Salt Lake City Police Department confirmed Robert Jr.'s death at the time and revealed that the authorities had actually responded to a possible overdose upon receiving a call of a 23-year-old male having a "full arrest/medical emergency." Now, according to a recent report by People, Mary Cosby's late son, Robert Cosby Jr., is being remembered as someone whose "gentle spirit touched everyone he met," in his obituary. Affectionately known as Bubs, the obituary described Robert Jr. as "a bright, living, and gifted young man with compassion." While the obituary went into great detail about Robert. When Mary Cosby posted an emotional tribute to her late son, Robert Jr., on social media  

Two days after Robert Jr. passed away, Mary and her husband, Robert Cosby Sr., shared a statement. They said, “Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God's promise and in knowing he is finally at peace.” In the same statement, the duo further added that they are grateful for everybody’s prayers and trust that the Lord will surely help them carry through this time of sorrow.

Later, on February 28, 2026, Mary took to her social media and posted an emotional tribute to her son. Featuring a throwback photo of her and Robert Jr. together, Mary captioned the Instagram post, “#godfirst #love #forever I'm going to miss you bubs,” followed by a red heart, prayer hands, and crying emoji.
