Virat Kohli Pens Emotional Note For Anushka Sharma After Receiving Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award

Similarly, this time too, after receiving the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, he took to social media and credited his wifey for all the support, push and inspiration that she gives him. Virat took to his official Instagram account and shared a lovely picture of the love of his life, Anushka. Along with it, he wrote an emotional note dedicating his achievements to her. He captioned the snap as, “The person that inspires me to push forward despite all obstacles. The person that guides me to do the right thing in life against all odds. The person that has changed me inside out and made me realise the power of true love. My strength. My soulmate.”

Crediting Anushka as his lucky charm, the Indian captain in a rare interview with Star Sports was quoted as saying, “I was in Mohali and there was a Test series going on. I was with Anushka then, she had come to visit me. Surprisingly, when I became the Test captain then also she was in Melbourne with me. In the same interview, he also talked about his nostalgic moment and remarked, “During the Mohali Test, they had spoken to me already. When I hung up the phone and told her, for me it was like a flashback. From the moment I started playing in my academy until the Mohali game. I was emotional. I was in tears because I had never thought that I will see this day. What was more beautiful was that I was able to share it with Anushka.
