Tamil superstar, Vijay Thalapathy, has been embroiled in a legal mess after this estranged wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, filed for a divorce at the district court located in Chengalpattu. Vijay Thalapathy has been the founding president of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, and nowadays he has broken his silence and posted his first message, amid his personal life taking a dramatic turn. For the unversed, Vijay Thalapathy had remained quiet for the longest time and had decided not to address the matter in public. However, now, Vijay a while back took to his social media handle to write a post which is not at all related to his personal life.
It was on March 2, 2026, when Vijay Thalapathy took to his X handle, (formerly Twitter), to extend best wishes to all the students who are in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry appearing for their class 12 board exams. Well, after a long time, Vijay Thalapathy has broken his silence and posted something on social media. It is interesting to note that he has not spoken about his personal life or about separation from Sangeetha. Vijay Thalapathy, a while ago, took to his X handle to write in Tamil, which loosely translates to English reads:
"Heartfelt greetings to my dear younger brothers and sisters who are writing the 12th standard public exam in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. You all, who are set to create a prosperous society tomorrow, face this exam without anxiety, without fear, and with courage. Advance wishes to excel in higher education as well! Only good will happen! Victory is certain!"
Netizens in the comments section felt motivated by 'Vijay Anna's motivating post for all the 12th standard students. Well, on the other hand, the actor has been hogging the limelight after speculations about him and Sangeetha opting for separation have been doing the rounds on social media.
Tamil superstar, Vijay Thalapathy, earlier in an interview with Excuse Me, had revealed details of how he had met his now estranged wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam. The actor had revealed that he had met Sangeetha on the sets of Love Today. Vijay had revealed that he had come to meet his fans, and that is where he had seen Sangeetha with her parents. They had spoken very well to him, and the actor remembered:
"Just like me, she is reserved. I later invited her to my house, and my father liked her. When he said he wanted to talk to me, I got anxious. But he asked about Sangeetha, and I said she's a nice girl, why are you asking? Then he asked if I wanted to get married. I was taken by surprise and asked for some time. Later, our families met, and we got engaged."
In the early years of his marriage to Sangeetha, Vijay always spoke about his wife, as he did in almost all his public appearances. There was another interview in which he had spoken about her gestures before and after marriage. Vijay shared that before the marriage, his wife, Sangeetha, used to put in a lot of effort and do so many things. After marriage, he felt that she used to tell him that it was a waste for her to do things as he would not react much. Vijay Thalapathy had credited her for showing support and had said:
"But in between, she gifted me cars and such things... She's very understanding, and that's very important. If a film flops, she supports me and tells me not to feel bad."
