During a recent interaction, Vicky Kaushal recalled how Katrina Kaif had saved him from paying a hefty amount for 'joota chupai' during his wedding.
Vicky Kaushal and Katrina are on cloud nine these days, and they can’t seem to get enough of their romantic PDA for one another. And now, during his recent promotional presence at The Kapil Sharma Show, Vicky revealed a funny anecdote from his wedding, when his wife, Katrina Kaif, had saved him from paying a hefty amount to her sisters as a part of the joota chupai ritual.
Vicky Kaushal remembered how Katrina’s sisters had demanded a huge amount from him during his wedding for handing him over his shoes that they had hidden as a part of the wedding rituals. In his words:
“The moment I was going to the mandap, Katrina’s sisters came and started pulling my shoes, even my brothers were like, nahi lene denge. But I told them, Le lo jo lena hai and they hid the shoes somewhere. By the time our pheras got over, Katrina wanted to click pictures before sunset. But then the sun was going down and the groom didn’t have his shoes. Uss time Katrina ne sabko daant lagayi, joota kahan hai iska? Merko nahi pata paison ka, joote laao.”

Well, the joota chupai might have ended on a dissatisfactory note for Katrina’s sisters; however, Vicky Kaushal was deeply elated as his wife had saved him from their demands of hefty pay. Recalling his satisfaction over it, Vicky mentioned:
“Free mein aaye hain joote aur chadhaye gaye hain.”
