Twisha Sharma's Father's 'Criminal' Allegations Against Her Husband, Samarth Singh, 'Push His Wife'

The Twisha Sharma case has taken a new turn with fresh allegations against her husband, Samarth Singh and his family.

The death of 31-year-old Indian woman, Twisha Sharma has currently gained nationwide attention. She was a Noida-based professional and former model, found dead on May 12, 2026, in her marital home in Bhopal's Katara Hills. Her death, which was initially suspected as suicide, has triggered intense reactions. Twisha's family contested the suicide claims and alleged severe dowry harassment and murder. Now, the case has taken a new turn with her father making explosive allegations against her husband, Samarth Singh, who is the prime suspect in her death case.

Twisha Sharma's father alleged that her husband was aggressive towards her

Twisha Sharma's father, Navnidhi Sharma spoke to NDTV about his deceased daughter's husband, Samarth Singh and in-laws. He revealed that Samarth, at times, physically abused her. Navnidhi stated that early in the marriage, his son-in-law displayed a "criminal mindset" when he became angry and pushed Twisha at the airport on the way to their honeymoon. Navnidhi Sharma was quoted as saying:

"It's right in the beginning, because in the beginning, a man does not attack so suddenly. His attitude was seen in the beginning as a criminal mindset. A man who can push his wife by getting angry for some reason on her honeymoon at the airport. Twisha then asked her brother, 'Have I taken a wrong decision?'"

After the airport incident, Twisha had second thoughts regarding her marriage. Sharing her concerns with her brother, she asked him whether he thought her decision to choose Samarth as her life partner was wrong. Her father shared that her brother said no. He quoted the brother as saying, "Sometimes a man gets a little impulsive in something, so don't take it seriously, ignore that." However, now, after Twisha's death, Navnidhi thinks those early signs of aggression should not have been ignored.

Navnidhi Sharma revealed the Sharma family's first daughter-in-law also faced harrasment

Navnidhi Sharma levelled fresh allegations against the late Twisha Sharma's in-laws, revealing that the family's first daughter-in-law also divorced due to extreme harassment. According to Navnidhi, the woman was assured that they would treat her right; however, in the end, it all turned out to be fake. He described his son-in-law, Samarth, as a "wolf in sheep's clothing." The phrase generally refers to someone who comes across a different being than they actually are. Navnidhi's exact words were:

"He [Samarth Singh] is wolf in sheep's clothing...If you look at their history, even their first daughter-in-law had also divorced due to harassment. A lot of assurances were given, which later did not materialise."

Navnidhi Sharma alleged that Twisha Sharma's in-laws' attitude towards her changed after she lost her job

Navnidhi Sharma revealed that Twisha's in-laws never made explicit demands for dowry. However, he also stated that "they create a situation in which money is taken out of your pocket." He alleged that the Sharmas created a highly toxic environment through financial taunts and expectations. According to him, the situation worsened after his daughter lost her job. Claiming that these were clear signs of troubles for Twisha, Navnidhi told NDTV:

Twisha Sharma, a 33-year-old former Miss Pune contestant and Noida resident, was found dead on May 12, 2026, in her matrimonial home in the Katara Hills area of Bhopal. The tragic incident took place just five months after her marriage. A preliminary post-mortem report from AIIMS Bhopal indicated that she died of hanging. However, her family alleges murder as her final messages to her mother indicated unbearable mental torture by her in-laws. Police filed an FIR for dowry harassment and abetment of suicide against the Sharmas, following which Samarth has been on the run.
