Fans of Bringing Up Bates knew the close love story of Katie Bates and her husband, Travis Clark. The pair has been going through a very difficult week. This is because the pair lost their third child, and Travis recently admitted to cheating on Katie. Now, amid Travis confessing to cheating on Katie, an old video of him confessing to sliding into Katie's DM's has surfaced on social media. An old video from his fourth wedding anniversary has now gone viral.
Travis Clark, on his fourth wedding anniversary, was seen decorating a table with flowers in his marriage video. He had arranged them into a bouquet and then placed varied gifts for his wife, Katie. Travis then kept a cake with a 'happy anniversary' note written for Katie. He was seen hugging and giving his wife a sweet kiss. However, in his caption, Travis mentioned sliding into Katie's DM's that changed his life. His note read:
"Never in my wildest dreams did I think sending that DM would change my whole life. Forever grateful I get to do life with my best friend. I love you so much, Katie! (and shoutout to @instagram for the assist) #anniversary #4years."
Travis Clark and Katie Beats' fans are heartbroken to see a rift in their relationship. An angry user slamming Travis commented, "This makes me so mad for her and those precious babies, my husband did the same but left our kids, I remember the hurt and betrayal, praying for all of you, may you be forgiven by God and all of them that are hurt by what you and that woman chose." He slid into Katie's DM's reportedly in 2019, and a user shared, "You went hard because you had an affair. I actually had a feeling you weren’t genuine. My least favourite of the spouses." For Travis, Katie was the most beautiful girl, and it was in April 2021 that the pair got engaged. Travis, back then, had also penned an original song for Katie. A concerned user opined that Travis was too young to commit to marriage and wrote:
"My personal opinion will be his age. Too young for him to have committed to a Sacrament of Marriage. He was also “scared” when he had his first kid. Sometimes it’s best to take time to get to know each other more before you commit. But who are we to judge others, Jesus even forgave the woman who committed adultery in the bible. Praying for all."
Travis Clark and Katie Beats got married at a Tennessee farm, where 400 guests had arrived for their December 2021 wedding. It was in February 2023 that the couple was blessed with a daughter whom they named, Hailey James. It was in September 2024 that the couple was blessed with a son whom they named Harvey Grey. It was recently on when Travis' wife, Katie, broke her silence on Travis' affair and shared her experience of living in an incredibly painful time. A part of her sad note read:
"As many now know, our marriage has been deeply hurt and my trust has been broken. Right now, I am taking life one day at a time and focusing on what matters most: our children, their future, and my own healing. At the same time, I do believe in God's power to restore, and my heart's desire is to preserve our marriage because this is so deeply personal and there is still so much to work through."
