Victoria Jones was found dead in a San Francisco hotel, with dispatch logs describing it as a 'code 3 overdose'. She was scheduled for a court appearance on domestic battery charges later this month.
Oscar-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones' 34-year-old daughter, Victoria, was found dead in a luxe San Francisco hotel on New Year's Day 2026. Amid ongoing investigations regarding her sudden passing, new details have emerged surrounding Victoria's whereabouts in recent months. Turns out, just six months before the tragedy, she had been arrested in connection with a domestic violence case, with her mugshot now circulating on the internet.
The mugshot dates back to June 2025, just six months before her unexpected death. In the now-viral photo from her arrest, the former child actress looks visibly distressed, with red, bloodshot eyes and a disheveled appearance. According to police records, Victoria was booked in Napa County, California, on charges related to domestic battery and elder abuse after an alleged fallout at the Carneros resort and spa. The former child actress pleaded not guilty to the charges and was scheduled for a court appearance later this month.
This was not the first time that Victoria got into trouble or had an encounter with the justice system. According to court records, the Men in Black II actress was arrested in April 2025 for allegedly using or being under the influence of, or possessing a "narcotic controlled substance". She also allegedly obstructed a peace officer. In 2011, Victoria had been arrested in Texas after an alleged theft, but the charges were later dismissed.
Victoria Jones was found dead in the early hours of New Year’s Day at the luxury Fairmont San Francisco, according to reports first published by TMZ. First responders were called to the hotel around 2:52 a.m. (ET), where paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.
According to dispatch logs obtained by TMZ, the response was a "code 3 overdose", with the audio describing a "colour change", more specifically, a blue tinge on her lips and fingers, signs often associated with a drug overdose. While her cause of death hasn't been officially confirmed, a witness at the hotel claimed Victoria had been using cocaine earlier and was with a group to ring in the New Year.
A San Francisco police officer familiar with Victoria told the New York Post that she had struggled with substance abuse and speculated that her death may have been fentanyl-related. Witness accounts indicate that the former actress was initially believed to have passed out from drinking. After she remained unresponsive, hotel staff attempted CPR before paramedics arrived, but all efforts were unsuccessful.
Victoria was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and his former wife, Kimberlea Cloughley, who divorced in 1996. In recent years, she had largely stayed away from the limelight, though her name kept popping up occasionally for arrest-related charges. As a child actress, Victoria appeared in popular movies, notably Men in Black II and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. Apart from that, she was seen in the series One Tree Hill.
Tommy Lee Jones once spoke fondly of working with his daughter, recalling the time he jokingly “fired” her for refusing to wake up early during filming. Even after leaving acting, Victoria occasionally accompanied her father at red carpet events. Following her death, the Jones family released a brief statement asking for privacy. The family said:
“We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
