Tom Brady used social media to send a 'middle finger' to his ex-wife, Gisele Bundchen. According to Lars Anderson’s new book, one month after Gisele welcomed her first child with Joaquim Valente in February 2025, Brady took to Instagram to seemingly send a message to his ex-wife. Lars mentioned that Tom had shared a picture of himself where his right arm was extended, and a ball had spiraled out of his hand. Underneath the picture, Tom wrote, 'True Love'.
For the uninitiated, Gisele often used to describe how much Brady loved football and called it his true love. People close to the seven-time Super Bowl champion reportedly decoded Tom’s inner message. Lars mentioned that one of Tom’s friends described the post as 'the softest middle finger'. Lar’s book Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness claimed that in 2022, Tom Brady tried very hard one last time to save his marriage with Gisele Bündchen, but his efforts were unsuccessful.
Tom Brady and Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen met on a blind date set up by friends and immediately hit it off. In an interview, Brady recalled their first meeting and shared how a phone call changed everything. He said:
"I think the one phone call that changed my life was my friend Ed, who called me one day and he said, 'I have this girl, and I think you should call her.' I ended up calling her, and it ended up being the love of my life."
In January 2007, the duo began dating. However, next month, in February 2007, Tom and Gisele’s new relationship hit a rough patch when Tom’s ex, Bridget Moynahan, revealed that she was three months pregnant with Tom’s baby. Years later, Gisele confessed that she considered leaving the former NFL quarterback when she found out about the pregnancy.
However, things changed when Tom and Bridget’s son, John "Jack" Edward Thomas Moynahan, was born. Gisele, in an interview with PEOPLE, shared that it was Jack’s birth that brought her and Tom closer, and she fell in love with the little one. In January 2009, the two got engaged. The quarterback proposed to the model with a diamond solitaire ring. Tom and Gisele got married one month after they got engaged in an intimate ceremony on February 26, 2009, at St. Monica Catholic Church in California.
In December 2009, Tom and Gisele welcomed their son, Benjamin Rein Brady. After three years in 2012, they completed their family by welcoming their daughter, Vivian Lake Brady. Everything was going well until 2018. Their marriage hit a rough patch at the time. Later, they reconciled. But in 2022, sources said that the couple hit a rough patch again. At the time, an insider shared:
"There's a lot of tension. She was so happy when he announced his retirement, and she wasn't thrilled at all when he went back on that. They're hitting a rough patch. But I know they're trying, or at least he's trying, to figure it out and make it work. He wants to get through this and for things to get better."
