Todd Bridges once slammed trolls who criticised his second ex-wife, Bettijo Hirschi, when he had announced his separation.
Actor, Todd Bridges is hogging the limelight. This time, not because of his acting skills but for his divorce from his second wife, Bettijo B. Hirschi. Well, the actor, on January 28, 2026, had taken to his social media handle to request people not to slam his second ex-wife, Bettijo Bridges, who faced a lot of scrutiny amid their separation.
Todd Bridges took to his social media handle to slam trolls who spoke negatively about his second ex-wife, Bettijo Bridges. In his note, he had emphasised that Bettijo is a mother to four kids, and the actor in his note mentioned how God hears and sees what people say. He also described himself and Bettijo deriving strength from their belief system. Todd's note had read:
"For those of you who out there you know talking trash about my ex-wife that is messed up. She's a real woman. She has four children. And to write some horrible things you must don't know. Who God is he sees and hears and sees the ugly things some of you are saying. And you know something God bless you. God is my strength. God is her strength."
For those who do not know, Todd Bridges was married to Dor from 1998 to 2012. He has a son called Spencir and a daughter named, Bo with her. Bettijo, his second ex-wife, also has four kids from her earlier marriage. Both Bettijo and Todd had blended their families and collaborated professionally. For the unversed, Todd and Bettijo spoke about their separation in January 2026, according to an AOL report. Todd had revealed that after much prayer and reflection, he and Bettijo had made the decision to separate. It was in January 2022 that Bettijo's friend set up her dating profile and showcased it to the actor for 'market research'. Their marriage reportedly lasted for only three years. The actor had spoken about the same on The Tamron Hall Show back in December 2024.
Todd Bridges had earlier started off with the legal proceedings to divorce his now ex-wife, Bettijo Hirschi. According to a report by the PEOPLE, the actor had filed for a Petition for Dissolution of Marriage Without Minor Children. He had filed the same in Maricopa County, Arizona, reportedly on March 31, 2026. He had cited that the marriage was 'irrevitably broken' as the reason for divorce.
Todd Bridges and Bettijo Hirschi have shared that neither of them has any community property or debts together. Neither of them requested spousal support, and all the other terms have been settled mutually out of court, as per the documents. Bridges in a statement to PEOPLE had shared:
"As I shared some time ago, we made the decision to separate, and that hasn’t been easy for either of us. I’ve now officially filed for divorce. It’s a deeply personal decision, but one I feel is necessary so we can both truly move forward."
The actor further revealed that he has a lot of respect for what he and Bettijo shared and both of them will always value the same. He also revealed that he wishes her nothing but the best. In the statement, Todd revealed that he appreciates everyone’s understanding and continued privacy as they both close this chapter of their lives.
