#1. Get best treatment

As soon as your wedding date is finalised, you book your beauty appointment, start shopping for your wedding dress, jewellery, etc.. This is the right time for a bride to seek treatment for sweating problem in advance. So, get an appointment with a good dermatologist.

It is advisable to get it done from a renowned dermatologist six to eight weeks prior to your wedding date. India’s ace dermatologist, Dr. Kiran Lohia, shares some insights into this procedure:

#3. Use of anti-perspirants

Gently massaging a good and strong anti-perspirant into the skin in the morning and before going to bed helps you to get rid of the sweating problem. This keeps the sweating under control.

“For excessive sweating, a simple answer- just to apply deodorant or anti-perspirant correctly. What that means is that you should apply it in morning and evening and make sure your skin is dry when you apply. It takes up to two weeks for a deodorant to start working because it has to block the sweat glands and that takes time.

Another good tip shared by Dr. Kiran Lohia, to stop underarms sweating is, by using lemon juice:

”A natural option is to apply lemon juice to your underarms every day. I suggest applying it in the shower and leaving it on for 5-10 minutes and then washing it off. If you do it daily, you will see the results.”

#5. Avoid spicy and oily food

Maybe you are fond of eating, but you have to keep a control on your diet. Avoid eating sweat-inducing spicy and oily food, alcohol and caffeinated drinks. This will help you to stay confident and sweat-free.

Dark-coloured wedding dresses are best for hiding the sweat marks, and are always in fashion. So, while selecting your wedding dress, give priority to dark colours as they will solve your sweating problem to an extent.
