Season 4 of 'The Traitor USA' has been making headlines since its premiere. The fans are just seven episodes in, and the stakes are higher than ever.
The Traitor USA Season 4 has the audience on the edge of their seats and rightfully so. Episode seven of the show was just released, and it brings new revelations that change the game's future trajectory. Helmed by Alan Cummings, the episode titled The Black Banquet brought a tedious challenge for the faithful, as they respond to a flawless "murder in plain sight" by successfully banishing a traitor at the roundtable.
Alan Cummings hosted the terrifying yet campy banquet that took a Game of Thrones red wedding turn when he revealed one contestant had secretly been murdered. And as if things were not messy enough, he added more pressure by telling the group that they had minutes to decide who should take two available antidotes that could protect them despite not knowing who or how they had been "poisoned." So, without any further ado, let's take a look at who was murdered in The Black Banquet
The Traitor's recent challenge left everyone scared. While Olympic figure skater, Tara Lipinski, expressed concern about being in danger, Survivor winner, Natalie Anderson and Top Chef host, Kristen Kish, rushed to take the antidotes. Eventually, it is revealed that it's Yam Yam Arocho who was murdered by a traitor, Lisa Rinna, after she tricked him into touching an amulet at the banquet. However, when Alan announced who was poisoned, hooded guards rushed to snatch Natalie away as Yam Yam yelled:
"Lisa! It was Lisa who kissed me."
Naturally, the elimination further raised suspicions about the Real Housewives icon for giving cheek-to-cheek air kisses around the room and about Natalie for being so adamant about taking the antidote. Lisa and fellow traitor, Candiace Dillard Bassett, worked to frame Natalie, the last gamer standing, after she accidentally said "we murdered" another player.
The three traitors arrive at breakfast first, giving them ample time to talk things out. The round-table came following the one where Rob voted for his fellow traitor, Lisa. He explains to her that, since he had been very vocal about Ron not being a traitor, it would've looked "super off" if he voted his dear chess buddy out. However, Lisa's patience was hanging by a thin thread as she had to do all the heavy lifting at the banquet, and she asked her fellow traitors for help in clearing her name. Nonetheless, Rob said that Yam Yam had signed Lisa's death warrant and wasn't as keen on helping her out.
At the challenge, the players further collected gold as they trekked up a mountain. The six highest earners got a chance to win the coveted dagger. After a little game that involves lie detection, Rob beats Natalie, Mark, Eric, Stephen, and Colton, but they all agree to form a pact. Since they're all a bunch of honest, honest "faithfuls", they agree not to tell the others who's holding the dagger.
Before the challenge, Natalie misspoke in front of Tara and Lisa while trying to explain how all the gamers are dead and gone. She said, "We killed one, we murdered one..." And while she meant "banished," the slip-up just turned into a weapon for Lisa, giving her some decent evidence to bring to the roundtable in an attempt to bury Natalie and save her bacon in one fell swoop. Everyone's perked up when she calls the roundtable, with Tara confirming what Lisa had just disclosed.
However, Natalie's determination to get the antidote also raises some suspicions. Was it a double bluff to make her look like a faithful? While they believe it was a far reach, it's discussed. Colton then brings up Yam Yam's final words, that Lisa was the one who killed him, while she says she already had heat on her, so it was an easy straw for him to grasp at. At the time for vote, Natalie survives the fall just barely, while Candiace burns her vote on Rob. Nonetheless, Lisa Rinna is ultimately outvoted and banished from the game.
Rob received the first dagger advantage, which grants him an extra vote at one of the four upcoming roundtables. He earned the new twist after scoring the most gold during the mission and successfully guessing that Natalie was lying about having it. It would be interesting to see how the traitor will use it in the upcoming episodes.
After a very chaotic murder sequence, we finally know who will continue to bait and survive in the challenging game. The contestants who will still appear on the show are Candiace Dillard Bassett, Dorinda Medley, Rob Rausch, Maura Higgins, Colton Underwood, Natalie Anderson, Mark Ballas, Kristen Kish, Stephen Colletti, Tara Lipinski, Johnny Weir, and Eric Nam.
