After much waiting, fans have been thrilled since The Night Agent Season 3 dropped on Netflix on February 19, 2026. For the unversed, in the new season, everyone's favourite FBI operative, 'Peter Sutherland', is back in action, travelling to Istanbul to find 'Jay Batra'. His investigation begins after 'Batra' escapes with crucial information, having killed his boss at the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). When 'Peter' does find 'Batra' in Istanbul, he sees the latter giving away the information to a journalist named 'Isabel De Leon' at The Financial Register.

As the plot moves on, they soon come to realise that there is something much larger going on behind the scenes, which surprisingly involves the president of the United States as well as a terrorist organisation in Mexico. Keep reading to find out how ‘Peter’ exposes it all, especially the White House links. (Spoilers ahead).

What does ‘Jay Batra' discover in The Night Agent Season 3?

In The Night Agent Season 3, 'Jay' comes to discover a money trail. However, this isn't any ordinary money trail but one which links the FinCEN to a terrorist organisation in Mexico called the L.F.S., which operates under 'Raul Zapata'. In a surprising twist, we realise 'Jay's' boss was the one who was actually corrupt. It was both 'Jay' and his boss who were behind the attack on Flight PIMA 12. Not only that, but they are also planning to strike New York. As the plot progresses, we find out that 'Jacob Monroe,' who also goes by the name of 'The Broker,' wants 'Peter' to capture 'Jay' and hand him over to him. However, 'Peter' decides to take down 'The Broker' and expose his schemes after his boss, 'Catherine Weaver', loses her life, with 'Jay' also taken away.

Are the President and First Lady really involved in the entire ordeal?

To answer the question simply, yes, both the President and the First Lady are involved in this. It all began in Season 2 of The Night Agent when ‘The Broker' orchestrated Project Foxglove. After the attack at the UN, he pulled the strings to get ‘Richard Hagan’ elected as President of the United States. Another person who was seemingly behind it is ‘Richard’s’ wife, First Lady, ‘Jenny Hagan’.

In this season, we see how she makes a deal with ‘Jacob Monroe' to get her husband elected. To achieve this feat, ‘Jacob’ donates USD 6 million to ‘Richard’s’ campaign, although the method he uses is clearly illegal. In return for getting her husband elected, she promises to send him the presidential daily briefs. However, in the end, when she realises that ‘Jacob’ has ties to ter*orism via the L.F.S, she tries to back out of the deal.

How do the trio, ‘Peter’, ‘Jay’, and ‘Isabel’, expose the links?

L.F.S. joins hands with ‘Freya Myers's' Walcott Capital, which helps them launder money and carry out other dirty work in the US. This leads ‘Freya’ to order all those who were associated with the operation to be killed. However, ‘Monroe’ is not someone who can be fooled even in death. Planning ahead, he has left behind an encrypted drive which could easily help expose everything.

After the drive falls into the hands of ‘Jay’ and ‘Isabel’, they use a cypher to unlock it. Later, ‘Freya’ comes forward to help them in their expose after realising that the President is planning to get rid of her as well. 'Isabel' interviews ‘Freya’ live at the Financial Register, revealing the full extent of both the ter*orist and financial crimes.

What happens at the end of The Night Agent Season 3?

While one might expect that things would come crashing down for ‘President Richard' and his wife, First Lady, ‘Jenny’, after the damning expose, things are quite the opposite. Thanks to a new media deal and ‘Richard’ pardoning himself and ‘Jenny’ just ahead of the senate hearing, they face few consequences. ‘Freya’, however, does not survive in the end because when she is shown enjoying a glass of martini at a bar, a hitman arrives to buy her a drink. Coming to ‘Jay’ and ‘Isabel’, they are hailed as heroes for the expose. On the other hand, ‘Peter’ takes some time off after speaking to the FBI Deputy Director, ‘Aiden Mosley'.
