However, the non-stop entertaining moments did not disappoint the audience. Viewers had possibly expected it to run for multiple seasons after the fifth, which is not happening for now.
The latest episode is being considered a proper conclusion. But everything has come at a cost, as it has witnessed the deaths of multiple characters that became popular among the fans. Keep reading to know the characters that die in the final episode of the show!
The first character to die in the finale of The Boys is 'Oh Father.' 'Ashley' gave him a ball gag, which eventually became a reason for his death. While the 'Boys' aim to take down 'Homelander,' they take different paths to ensure that everything is clear for them. 'Oh Father' is confronted by 'Hughie' and 'Mother Milk.' But 'Oh Father’s' powers don’t work here, despite that he tries to get a big growl out of himself. A gag is put in his mouth, exploding his head.
As 'Oh Father' dies on one side, 'Starlight' and 'The Deep' fight with each other. The former easily manages to take him down. 'The Deep' is eventually thrown into the water by 'Starlight.' He is killed after his entire body is trapped in an octopus tentacle, and it comes out of his mouth.
The death of 'Homelander' was something that a lot of people were expecting to see since the first season of The Boys premiered. He is taken down by someone who can be considered equally powerful like him - 'Butcher.' This time, 'Homelander' is unable to do anything since his powers have been taken away by 'Kimiko' with a blast. Apart from 'Homelander,' 'Butcher,' and 'Ryan' also fall due to the extreme power of the blast.
While 'Homelander' finds that he is not who he was so far, 'Butcher' takes the opportunity to assault the man, seemingly expressing his anger. 'Homelander' finally shows a different side of himself, asking 'Butcher' to let him go, and that he was ready to do anything to prevent his death. However, 'Butcher' won’t forgive 'Homelander,' and he uses a crowbar to end the terror of 'Homelander' once and for all.
After killing Homelander, 'Butcher' takes another step, aiming to take down all the 'Supes' at once. He puts the virus in the sprinkler system, leading to 'Hughie’s' intervention. This is followed by an intense fight between the duo. There is a point where 'Hughie' tells 'Butcher' to remember his brother, Lenny. However, 'Hughie’s' intention is something else as he pulls the trigger of a gun he finds close to him. As 'Butcher' dies, 'Hughie' expresses his regret for what he did. 'Butcher' then says that he holds no grudges since 'Hughie' did not have a second option left.
