Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleKritika Khurana, who is hailed as the OG influencer and is famous as 'That Boho Girl', is making headlines again. But this time, not for her content or personal life, but for her recent entrepreneurial venture. Kritika launched her own jewellery label, but her followers, who are mostly teenagers or grew up watching her content, are not happy with the overpricing of jewellery pieces.
Recently, Kritika launched her jewellery label, Kritika Khurana Jewels. A user on Reddit shared comments from users asking her why she had overhyped the prices of anti-tarnish jewellery. One user shared a screenshot of Kritika's return policy, which read 'no return or no refund'. The post of the label is also flooded with serious questions.
One user asked her why she had overpriced a similar product that she once used to buy from Janpath. The user wrote, "You yourself have started wearing jewellery from Sarojini and Janpath, then how can you overprice a similar product?" Another netizen expressed that the designs are not refined and not all appealing as per the price point and said, "I personally feel that the designs could be more refined and appealing for the price point. The jewellery seems quite overpriced for the overall design and finish."
Another netizen compared her jewellery with one on Myntra, which was available for a price of Rs. 265. Another user pointed out the pricing and stated that even Palmonas do not charge for 9-karat gold jewelry, and Kritika's label has been charging Rs. 6K for a product that is not supposed to be in contact with water.
Another user penned, "Dude is so overpriced …designs are also very normal; we can easily get these types of handcrafted pieces in any local market at 1/4 price. Fancy shoot can't make your product expensive just bcz u are an influencer; u can't overprice your product."
A netizen also compared Kritika's brand with Katrina Kaif and wrote, "Seriously, 5 to 6k for an earring???? @katrinakaif is an actress, and still she is not charging this much also @palmonas_official starting range is quite normal; please label your products as luxury."
Earlier, in an interview with Uncut, Kritika opened up about her divorce in 2022. She revealed that making the decision wasn't easy, but without going into detail, she stated that she took the step as there were no options left. She also added that there were a lot of people who thought that a woman should suffer and asked why she had made the decision. She was quoted as saying:
"This is the first time I am even talking about like I won't go into detail. But mujhe aisa lagta hai ki vo decision lena bht tough hota hai, but us time par jab apke pass koi option bachta nahi hai na, apko lagta hai ki either this or I am gonna lose myself or I am gonna do stupid things which I don't wanna do. Vo option bachta hai jab ap step lelete ho. While I got a lot of support, there was also a certain sector, jinko aisa lagta hai ki ladko ko suffer hi karna chahiye kuch nahi hota, yeh step isne le bhi kyo liya."
