And now, with Travis back for the fifth season of New Heights, he has given some insight into their big day and why he and Taylor chose Adam Sandler to officiate their wedding ceremony.

It has been nearly two months since Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift said 'I do' at Madison Square Garden. Ever since the duo tied the knot, their fans have been keeping a close eye on their every appearance, hoping to catch a glimpse of their wedding bands and some insight into the ultra-private wedding. And now, on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, Travis has finally scratched the fans' itch by sharing some details.

In the Season 5 premiere episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce reflected on his July wedding. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end flashed his new gold wedding ring and gave listeners more insight into the big day. Especially into the big question about why he and Taylor Swift chose Adam Sandler as the officiant for their big day.

Calling it a "very magical night," Travis Kelce reflected on his and his wife Taylor Swift's decision to have Adam officiate the wedding. For those who are not aware, Travis formed a close bond with Adam Sandler after his cameo in Happy Gilmore 2. During the episode, Travis gave a special shout-out to his officiant, Adam Sandler, and expressed his gratitude to everyone who showed up to celebrate their union.

Travis Kelce called Adam Sandler the "best person" on the planet and revealed that the actor had been specifically ordained in New York so he could wed him and Taylor Swift. Travis revealed that he and Taylor could not have asked for anything more and the actor absolutely exceeded their expectations. He was quoted as saying:

"I can't say thank you to everyone without [giving] a special thank you to Adam Sandler. He has been just the f---ing best person on this planet. And for him to be up for getting ordained in the state of New York and marrying me and Taylor in the way he did, in the very, you know, Sandman style and giving us more than we could have ever imagined in that moment, knowing that it was the biggest night of both of our lives. It was, it was absolutely insane, man."

Jason Kelce agreed with his little brother, Travis Kelce's sentiment, adding that the comedian exceeded his expectations when it came time to preside over the ceremony. He reflected on how Adam Sandler wasn't just hilarious, but also thoughtful and sweet in a very "Adam" way. He was quoted as saying:

"When you said Adam was gonna be officiating the wedding, I initially was like, 'Man, he's gonna be hilarious.' But it wasn't until, like, right before the wedding that I realized, 'Oh my god, he's gonna crush this because there's — well, I mean, obviously, he's an entertainer, and he's hilarious, but there's a sweetness in everything Adam does, like all of his movies. And, like, there's a degree of it that I think really resonates with officiating a wedding."

While the night was absolutely magical, Travis Kelce revealed that there is one thing he wishes he could change. The tight end called their wedding a "night out we'll never forget" and thanked everyone who showed up for their special day. He revealed that they had "fun throughout the entire evening and hearing that kind of be relayed through everybody's stories of the night." However, despite the perfect night, there was one thing he shared he wishes he could have changed.

In a conversation with Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce revealed that he wishes that it had lasted longer than it did. The big brother also echoed the sentiment, quipping, "They kicked us out." The couple tied the knot on July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden, after days of preparations that saw workers bring in various items to transform the space. Travis was quoted as saying:

"I wish it could have lasted even longer than it did. It felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye. Well, once the drinks stopped being served, everyone kinda just starts to, you know, mosey out."

Travis even gave fans a close-up of the ring Taylor Swift gave him at the wedding. While this is the second time the tight end has addressed the wedding, the I Can Do It With A Broken Heart singer has yet to make any comments on the big day. He even reflected on why they chose Madison Square Garden as the wedding venue and revealed that they wanted a place where they could have "a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions". Travis explained that he and Taylor needed it to feel private, and MSG went above and beyond to give them that.
