Tanya Mittal is one of the most popular contestants of Bigg Boss 19. Hailing from Gwalior, and even after coming from a non-celebrity background, she has successfully made her way into social media chatter and media headlines, thanks to her revelations about her over-the-top lifestyle during her stint in BB19. Tanya gained massive popularity, and her fans keep waiting for her social media content, particularly that related to her house, family, factories, and lavish lifestyle.

Tanya recently gave News Pinch a tour of her home and factory, shutting down her trolls, who alleged she lied about her wealth. Meanwhile, another video of hers surfaced, sparking speculation about a possible disparity between her projected lifestyle and reality. The video featured her cars, and the controversy surrounding it included a social media user presenting fact checks on whether the cars actually belong to Tanya Mittal's family.

What is the controversy surrounding Tanya Mittal's luxurious cars?

After the conclusion of Big Boss 19, Tanya Mittal shared Instagram stories of her homecoming in Gwalior, including a video showing a car following her with the caption "Ammu agaya. Aja aja." Ammu is the name by which Tanya lovingly calls her younger brother, Amritesh Mittal. He was driving a white Porsche Cayenne behind the car Tanya was in, and she was calling out to him excitedly. What should have been a heartwarming display of siblings bonding soon turned into a wave of criticism for the spiritual influencer. The video has received renewed attention amid clips and reports suggesting that Tanya's claims of affluence are valid.

After Tanya's car video went viral, eagle-eyed netizens investigated her brother, Amritesh's vehicle registration number and claimed it was UK07DK3600. Through the RTO details of the car, they attempted to prove that it was registered in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, to an owner with the surname Sharma, rather than the Mittal family. The alleged data sparked controversy and, once again, earned Tanya the 'fake' tag from netizens. Critics used the car registration number to allege that Tanya's family rented the luxury car for her grand welcome to maintain the wealthy image she projected on the Salman Khan-hosted show.

Comments such as "#TanyaMittal brother came in a rented car" made rounds as users questioned Tanya's claims of owning numerous high-end vehicles. One X-user also alleged that if further digging is done into the matter, they might find that the car's insurance had even expired. While Tanya has previously defended her wealth, claiming her lifestyle was a result of her work as a businesswoman and dismissed the "fake" label as being a product of jealousy, she has not specifically addressed the RTO controversy since the backlash began.
