"I’m very excited to be doing the Super Bowl and I know people all around the world who love my music are also happy. If you didn’t understand now what I just said, you have four months to learn!"

After the backlash about Bad Bunny's performance, it was announced by TPUSA that they will have their own halftime show, which is a counterperformance to Super Bowl 2026's traditional halftime show. TPUSA planned to do a different kind of entertainment during the game's intermission, which celebrates family, faith, and freedom.

In the announcement poster, this show was tagged as an inclusive alternative rather than a protest. Kid Rock will be the headliner, while other performers are Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett. The theme of TPUSA will be patriotism and traditional values. Talking about his then-impending performance, Kid Rock said that while Bad Bunny mentioned that he would have a party, the alternative halftime show will feature songs that are loved by all American lovers. He said:

"We plan to play great songs for folks who love America. We’re approaching this show like David and Goliath. Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible … or is it? [Bad Bunny] said he’s having a dance party, wearing a dress and singing in Spanish?” he said. “Cool. We plan to play great songs for folks who love America."

What do you think about the alternative performance of TPUSA to the traditional halftime performance of Super Bowl 2026?
