Sunny Hostin Revealed What She Would Do If Her Husband Manny Cheated On Her, 'Ragefully Confront..'

'The View' co-star Sunny Hostin opened up about her thoughts on men who cheat and what she would do if her husband was disloyal to her.

Sunny Hostin is best known as the co-host of The View. At present, she is hogging the spotlight after she defended her son for trespassing on Metro-North railroad property. In newly released bodycam footage, she can be seen telling the police that she was a “former federal prosecutor” while urging them to give his son a break. With this incident putting the spotlight on Sunny’s personal life, her statements on what she would do if her husband, Manny, ever cheated on her had surfaced.

It was during a conversation at the Hot Topics table that she and the other ladies reacted to the somewhat bizarre practice in China where women in the country would hire a “consultant mistress.” For those who don't know, their jobs involved working their way into the personal lives of the adulterous husband and “convince the pair to break it off” cleanly. 

Before asking what the panel thought about this, Joy Behar joked that such a person would basically be like a private eye, Magnum P.I. in a dress, to be precise. Giving her view, Sunny said: 

"It's very evolved. The spouse that would hire this P.I. is not consumed with rage, is not trying to punch the other person in the throat, is not trying to poison the person. It's a very evolved way of handling the fact that your husband is a nasty, nasty cheater."

To this, Ana Navarro quipped that Sunny would never have the opportunity to hire one, as if she ever found her husband Manny cheating on her, “she’d kill Manny.” Meanwhile, co-host Sara Haines questioned who even has time for something like that on their hands before admitting that she would just move on to the next person. Even though she loves her husband, she would not “spend months and weeks trolling him to please come home.” 

On the other hand, conservative panellist Alyssa Farah Griffin, who has just announced her first pregnancy with her husband Justin Griffin, claimed that if she had been cheated upon, she would not have been so “passive” about the situation. According to her, they should not be given the easy way out. She was quoted as saying:

“I think you'd want to ragefully confront them. Not give them this easy out where they feel like ‘I did the morally right thing in the end.’ Like, no, no, no, you need to feel the pain and anger!” 

Their statements riled Sunny up as she called all men who cheat a “nasty, nasty cheater” as well as “morally bankrupt.” Speaking about what she would do if she were in the woman's shoes and her husband cheated on her, she shared:

“If my man cheats on me, everybody is going to know how nasty he is. Everybody is going to know how disloyal he is; everybody is going to know everything, and I'm not going to look bad. He looks bad!” 

What did Sunny Hostin tell the cops after her son was accused of trespassing?

According to reports, an MTA Police spokesperson revealed that Sunny’s son was seen running near an electrified third rail before officers stopped him near Commerce Drive. Since he had no prior criminal history, the cops just issued him a summons for trespass and release.

In the newly released bodycam footage, Sunny urged them to exercise discretion, telling them that her son is a Harvard grad who teaches fourth-grade geometry in the South Bronx kids. “He's not a kid who's ever in trouble. It's an innocent mistake,” she said. Before making her case, it is worth mentioning that Sunny introduced herself as one of the co-hosts of The View and a former federal prosecutor.
