Although it looked like any other post at first glance, what caught social media users' eyes was its simple but explosive caption, “Stranger Things star, Finn Wolfhard, and Olivia Rodrigo are reportedly dating.”
It is worth noting that the post did not offer any sources, links, confirmations, or evidence to back up its claim. Despite this, it did not stop fans from going into a frenzy at the unexpected pairing. As of now, the post already has nearly 7 million views. In the same manner, it has also racked up thousands of likes, reposts, quote tweets and reactions all over social media.
With the post continuing to gain traction on the internet, it has unleashed all sorts of reactions from social media users. With most people in disbelief, the post has been met with memes, chaotic jokes, and of course, ruthless Gen-Z humour. One user wrote, “I hope this isn't true but just a rumour.” Another questioned Finn's sexuality and wrote, “Ain't he gay?” A user joked, “If he can bag her, I can bag any lady I want.”
