Sophia and Ashlyn have been together for three years now. Sophia and Ashlyn were previously married to their respective ex-partners. Both of their divorce announcements came in 2023, and after that, Sophia and Ashlyn went on their first date.
Eventually, the couple addressed the buzz surrounding their dating life and confirmed they were seeing each other. It was in 2024 when, during their trip to Paris, Bush and Harris sparked their engagement buzz, but soon they dismissed it. And by the Summer of last year, the couple had exchanged vows. Sophia and Ashlyn confirmed the same recently. And amid this, let's have a look at their relationship timeline, along with the buzz that Bush left her ex-husband for Ashlyn.
Ashlyn and Sophia got married in upstate New York in the summer of 2025, and the former's kids, Sloane and Ocean, marked their presence. Speaking about the ceremony, Ashlyn stated that their kids were there and busy picking flowers. According to her, it was a precious ceremony, something that is worth never forgetting in life. Ashlyn further added that they roasted marshmallows in the evening as a family. To quote her:
"The kids were just running and happy, and we picked flowers from the property and our daughter Sloane was holding them. It was so fun for them, because it wasn’t this pressure-filled day that’s too much for young kids. It was so precious, and zero pressure. I will never forget it, and I think wedding days sometimes aren’t like that.”
Speaking about their intimate wedding, Sophia revealed the constant pressure she and Ashlyn had to grow due to being public figures. She revealed that after a certain age, people finally see what is theirs and what is others'. She also added that she and Ashlyn wanted to come forward with the tag 'partner' that is attached to them, and to Sophia, it just feels amazing to call Ashlyn her 'wife'.
Sophia and Ashlyn started off as friends. However, in 2023, Sophia Bush announced that she was splitting from her then-husband, Grant Hughes, after being married for 13 months. During that time, sources revealed that the split happened, but it was not a bitter one; rather, they were better off as friends. One month after Sophia's divorce announcement, Ashlyn also left everyone shocked as she revealed that she was splitting from her ex-wife, Ali Krieger, after four years of marriage.
Ali and Ashlyn share two kids, whom they adopted. Following their respective splits, Sophia and Ashlyn stepped out for their first date. Bush and Harris were spotted on several occasions during their dating buzz. In 2024, speaking to Glamour, Sophia finally confirmed her relationship with Ashlyn. During the same interview, she also addressed the buzz about her leaving her ex-husband, Grant Hughes.
Bush shared that the decision was not a rushed one, but rather a painful one, which took one year of constant work. Sophia further mentioned that just because she didn't share her journey on social media, it in no way means that her divorce decision was made without deep thought. To quote Bush:
“The idea that I left my marriage based on some hysterical rendezvous—that, to be crystal-clear, never happened—rather than having taken over a year to do the most soul-crushing work of my life? It feels brutal. Just because I didn’t want to process my realizations in real time on social media and spell them out for the world doesn’t mean the journey wasn’t long and thoughtful and exhaustive."
In the same interview with Glamour, Bush stated how she and Harris met after her painful divorce announcement. Bush asked Harris for a non-friend hangout, and the meeting lasted hours. To Bush, it was 'surreal,' and she also said her beliefs in manifestation and string theory turned out to be real. She said:
"And that meal was four and a half hours long and truly one of the most surreal experiences of my life thus far. In hindsight, maybe it all had to happen slowly and then suddenly all at once. Maybe it was all fated. Maybe it really is a version of invisible string theory.”
Ashlyn and Sophia sparked their engagement buzz back in 2024 during their Paris trip, however, the latter soon dismissed the buzz. However, by the summer of the next year, the couple was happily married, which they confirmed recently.
