Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand S Ahuja make for one of the most loving couples. One look at them and everyone would come to know the intensity of their love for each other. There is no particular age or no right time to fall in love or for that matter tie the knot, you just go for it when you know it. May 10, 2018, was the day when Anand and Sonam became mister and missus to one another, walking down the aisle as per Sikh wedding rituals.
Ever since the duo has entered the nuptial bond, they tell us how to excel at managing a long-distance marriage. Yesterday, on July 30, 2019, Anand turned a year older and the doting wifey left no stone unturned to make his birthday the most memorable one. Right from wishing him on social media to planning a surprise on his birthday, Sonam did it all like a loving wifey to make his day. Taking it to her official Instagram handle, Sonam had wished her prince charming. A few lovely words along with some beautiful pictures, Sonam made her husband’s birthday even more special. She worded her post as, “Happy happy birthday to the love of my life. To the kindest, noblest and most idealistic person I know. You are the best thing that happened to me. I hope you get to do all that you dream of. And contribute in all the ways you have always wanted to. “You’re simply the best, better than all the rest!”” To which Anand had replied, “Why don't I have any of these pictures!?! You're the best, literally the best. Post that Sonam had planned a lovely birthday surprise for her ‘man’, Anand. She had celebrated his birthday with cakes, candles, flowers, and all things nice. Sonam herself took to her official Instagram handle and shared a few stories, putting up a whole bunch of pictures. In an interview with the Filmfare, Anand S Ahuja had shared how they make their long-distance marriage work. He had revealed, “When it comes to marriage, small things matter a lot. We eat meals together, even if we are in different time zones, on Skype. For the ones who don’t know, Sonam had dived into work right after her wedding. Talking about the same, Sonam had once shared, “Yes. There has been a whole revolution with the #MeToo campaign where women are standing up for what they think is right and are asking for the respect they deserve. The team of L’Oréal Paris resonates the same thought I have, and they made sure that I was there, representing the brand, and women of worth on the red carpet. I’m also representing Indian women who know that they should work, regardless of anything.”
Talking about their first date, Sonam had once shared that she was wearing sneakers. Sonam was quoted as saying, “When I met Anand for the first time, I was wearing sneakers. According to Anand, I was wearing very odd and old-fashioned shoes. Looking at my sneakers, he immediately quizzed ‘Arre yaar! Yeh kya sneakers phene huye hai tumne? (What kind of sneakers are you wearing?’.
