And after two years into the relationship, Sonam and Anand took their ‘everyday phenomenal’ love story to another level and tied the knot in a star-studded lavish wedding ceremony on May 8, 2018.

Love you mom!" Soon, Anand S Ahuja commented on the picture, "Moommmm. You're spoiling her na? @priya27ahuja haha. You and pappa both! Too soft for your daughter!"
This is not the first time Sonam Kapoor Ahuja had thanked her mother-in-law for a gift and flaunted the same on her social media handle. Sonam wore a beautiful dress at Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s engagement bash at Lake Como, Italy in September 2018, and posted a picture with hubby, Anand S Ahuja on her Instagram handle. Revealing that her outfit for the occasion was gifted by her mother-in-law on her birthday, Sonam had captioned it as, "Wearing my birthday present (dress emoji) by @priya.ahuja27 thanks so much mom! On Mother’s Day 2019, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja took to her social media handles to wish mother-in-law, Priya Ahuja on the special day. Calling her mom-in-law 'selfless' and seeking her blessings, Sonam had shared the following pic and wrote, "Happy mamas day to the most elegant, kind and loving person I know... I love you mom.. thanks for being so selfless. Anand and I are together because of your prayers and blessings.. love you lots! @priya.ahuja27 @priya27ahuja."
In an interview post-marriage, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja had revealed the reaction of her in-laws after watching her bold character in the film, Veere Di Wedding. She was quoted as saying, "My family members or in-laws have no problem with this. This is my job and I have no hesitation in doing this. I received a lot of good response from the in-law’s house. Anand's family has greatly appreciated my work."
Sonam Kapoor Ahuja had once shared in an interview with the Deccan Chronicle that she is obsessed with her mother-in-law, Priya Ahuja. Sonam had said, “They are Sindhis and are a very private business family. They are lovely people but I don’t want to discuss much. I am obsessed with my mother-in-law; I get along very well with her.
