It was on August 14, 2021, when Bollywood actor, Anil Kapoor's daughter, Rhea Kapoor, tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Karan Boolani, at his Juhu residence in an intimate cermeony. The wedding was graced by the family members of the Kapoor clan, but one thing that had stood out from the rest was Rhea's behen, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and jija, Anand Ahuja's appearance at her wedding, as the couple had stolen all the limelight with their looks.
After much speculations about their relationship in the media, in 2018, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja had accepted their relationship and had taken their love to the next level by becoming each other's forever on May 8, 2018. Sonam Kapoor had opted for a pastel blue anarkali suit with a heavily embroidered neck for the wedding function. She had accentuated her look with a choker neckpiece, a huge maang teeka, a multi-coloured dupatta and a bun surrounded by gajra. Sonam had entered the venue with her husband, Anand Ahuja, who had twinned with her in a pastel blue kurta with a blue jacket over it. However, soon some netizens had started saying that the actress looked pregnant, and now the speculations about Sonam's pregnancy are all over the internet.

However, it was on July 22, 2021, when Sonam Kapoor Ahuja had ended her pregnancy rumours after she had shared a Boomerang on her Instagram handle. In the Boomerang, Sonam had mentioned details about her periods and had stated how she is struggling with the first day of her periods. Sonam had written, "Hot water bottle and ginger tea for the first day of my period" atop the Boomerang.
