The whole of India is talking about Sonam Kapoor’s wedding. Yesterday, social media was flooded with pictures and videos from her mehendi. While Sonam looked beautiful beyond imagination, Sonam’s white-themed mehendi was heavenly. From all the super-fun videos that were uploaded, the video which touched our heart was of Sonam and her mom Sunita shaking to leg to London Thumakda.

Sonam’s white themed-mehendi is going to be a trendsetter for all those who are planning their mehendi soon. Every guest on the list which included family and friends, Swara Bhasker, her BFF Jacqueline Fernandez, Shilpa Shetty, Karan Johar, Pernia Qureshi and Masaba Gupta were all clad in white.

Did you know? That Sonam Kapoor’s mehendi dress took one-and-a-half years to complete. The dress was put together by Sonam’s favourite designer duo, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. They themselves shared in an interview, “This ensemble is a labour of love and joy. Sonam is our absolute favourite and for her wedding it had to be a fantasy piece that set new creative standards for us in order to do full justice to her and this sacred occasion. She ordered it two years ago and it’s taken multiple teams of artisans eighteen months to create.” Well, we totally believe it, given the heavenly piece that has been created. Probably more than Sonam’s friends, it was their fans who were eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of the fun-filled mehendi. A source close to the Kapoor’s had revealed, “Rehearsals have kicked off at Anil Kapoor’s Juhu bungalow. The doting dad and mom Sunita will be putting together a special act for the bride-to-be at the sangeet. Sonam’s cousins and extended family have joined in as well for the pre-wedding ceremony. They will perform on her hit songs like the Veere… title track, “Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai” from the Fawad Khan co-starrer Khoobsurat, the Prem Ratan Dhan Payo title track, and “Dheere Dheere” from her music video with Hrithik Roshan, among others, besides other popular wedding songs”.

Sonam’s father, Anil cover seemed to enjoy the most at his daughter’s wedding. It was shared by a source, “Anil is ecstatic about his performance on Sonam and Anand’s sangeet. He will perform on two of his favourite numbers – Gallan Goodiyan from Dil Dhadakne Do and My Name is Lakhan from Ram Lakhan. It will be more fun because Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher will also be joining Anil”.
