Everyone feels they are blessed with the best mother and none of them is wrong because nothing can be more beautiful than a mother and making her smile. For every reason, her birthday becomes even more special and must be celebrated. Sonakshi Sinha is also celebrating her mother, Poonam Sinha’s 70th birthday. Actress, Sonakshi Sinha is the daughter of veteran actor, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. She surely resembles her mother a lot even when the world goes gossiping. Sonakshi has always maintained that she feels she looks like her in several interviews. On Mother's Day 2018, Sonakshi had the sweetest wish for her mother. She had written, "Happy Mothers day to my first love, my first friend and my first role model! Missing you, cant wait to come back and trouble you, a whole months quota awaits you."
Sonakshi’s mother, Poonam Sinha has turned 70 and the loving daughter has put in her best efforts to make this day special for her. Taking to her IG handle, Sonakshi shared an inside picture from the birthday celebrations of her mom. In the picture, Sonakshi and her mother looked beautiful in their no-makeup, natural look, holding the foil paper balloons. There were heart and star shaped balloons along with a balloon mentioning ‘70’ as Poonam ji has turned 70 this year. Sharing the celebration picture, Sonakshi wrote a cute birthday wish for her mother, which can be read as “Happy birthdayyyy to my cutie patoutie!! Its a big one haan” followed by red heart emoticon.
Sonakshi is her parents' favourite child and there is no doubt in that. In an interview with the Filmfare, Sonakshi had shared that her parents' had prayed for a daughter and that's the reason why they pamper her so much. She had said, "I told you I was always the pampered one. My mother (Poonam Sinha) tells me they prayed for a girl because they had two boys already. And when I was born, I got all the attention by default."
In an interview with ETimes, Sonakshi had talked about her bond with her mother on the occasion of Mother’s Day 2020. When asked what does Mother’s Day mean to her, Sonakshi had said, “One day isn’t enough to acknowledge your parents or shower affection on your mother, father or anyone who is integral to your being. Sonakshi had also revealed the three things her mother, Poonam Sinha has taught her to never to do in her life. Speaking about it, she had shared, “Firstly, to always be thankful for everything we have instead of focusing on what isn’t there. To respect everyone but stand up for myself whenever needed. Lastly, never underestimate yourself, you can accomplish anything you set out to do.”
Sonakshi had also shared that she feels that her mother is her ‘safety blanket’ as she feels she can always depend on her without any questions asked or without being judged. In her words, “For me, my mother is the safety blanket I can resort to anytime without being judged or questioned, so what can top that?
