Indian cricketer, Smriti Mandhana's personal life has been in the headlines due to her personal life. The cricketer, who won the World Cup as a Vice Captain of the Indian Women's Cricket team, was enjoying the best phase of her life as she was getting married to her longtime boyfriend, Palaash Muchhal, who is a music producer. However, on the day of the wedding, Smriti's family postponed the wedding, citing her father's chronic health problem as a reason.
After Smriti's wedding was postponed, a lot of buzz around Palaash's infidelity surfaced. The fans were eagerly awaiting Smriti to make a comeback on social media after the cancelled wedding, but she deleted all the wedding-related content. After weeks of the incident, Smriti shared her first post on December 5, 2025.
In the video, she introduced herself as 'Smriti Mandhana, vice-captain of the Indian cricket team. She looked extremely proud of her role and shared her journey into cricket and the winning moment of lifting the World Cup trophy. Smriti recalled the winning moment and shared that it felt unreal as it had been 12 years since she had played International cricket. Every time they faced heartbreak. Sharing the video, she wrote:
"Winning moments, honest conversations, and rituals that are a total game changer."

Recently, Palaash Muchhal's sister, Palak Muchhal, talked about the buzz about her brother's wedding being postponed. Palak Muchhal, in an interview with Filmfare, revealed how the families are coping with the aftermath of her brother's postponed wedding and the intense public scrutiny they are facing. Palak mentioned that both families have been going through an extremely tough time, but they believe in spreading positivity and staying positive. She said:
"I think the families have been through a very, very tough time and like you just said… I would just want to repeat that we would like to believe in positivity at this time and spread positivity as much as we can. And stay strong… yeah."
Recently, a lot of reports stated that the Indian cricketer, Smriti Mandhana, is going to get married to music composer, Palaash Muchhal, on December 7, 2025. Just weeks after their postponed wedding. However, Smriti's brother, Shravan Mandhana, straight away denied the claims. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Shravan revealed that he doesn't know about the rumours, but the wedding is still postponed. He said:
"I have no idea about these rumours. As of now it (the wedding) is still postponed."
Earlier, Smriti and Palaash were going to get married in the cricketer's hometown, Sangli. But the wedding was abruptly halted when an unexpected situation arose on the morning of Smriti's big day. Her father, Shrinivas Mandhana, suffered a medical emergency, and he was rushed to the hospital. After which, the wedding was postponed. A day later, the groom-to-be was also hospitalised due to extreme stress.
