Another user wrote, "Why have they given the right to refuse? It should be compulsory for criminals to do a detector test.In done ne hi mara he usko plan karke, lekin laga tha sub log such manenge, aisa nahi hua, woh bahar aaya. Why create legal rights to refuse a lie detector test? It would only benefit the innocent, who would likely be willing to take it to clear their name, while those with something to hide could simply refuse. Shame on the system."
A third user said Ketan Agarwal's case now will lack substantial evidence, as a user wrote, "They are just making it more complicated and adding confusion, and in the end both will be set free due to lack of substantial evidence. Indian law sabse ghatiya hai."
The court had ruled that a lie detector test could not be conducted without the consent of Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary. The matter had earlier come before Judicial Magistrate First Class AM Vibhute, where the cops had taken permission to conduct a polygraph test on the accused. Well, the court noted that unless the accused voluntarily agreed, a lie-detection test cannot be conducted. The request was hence rejected.
Well, Ketan Agarwal's case was first seen as an accident until it came to light that it was not an accident but a murder. Well, Ketan reportedly was pushed by Siya and Ketan from a 400-foot gorge at the Lohagad Fort back on June 18, 2026. Siya had accused Chetan of pushing Ketan, while he had accused Siya of doing the same.
Well, earlier, the Lonavala Rural Police had informed the court that they had tried to retrieve data from the cell phones seized from Siya and Chetan. The cops revealed that they had retrieved coded conversations, and the theory that a third person was involved in the controversy was also widely discussed.
Assistant Police Inspector Manoj Pawar, the investigating officer, has informed the court that the sequence of events narrated by Chetan has been verified. His trousers have been seized, and the cops had also seized his trousers. The cops had conducted an investigation where Siya had reportedly disposed of Ketan's passport, and her clothes were also seized, which she wore during the reported crime. Another investigation was also carried out where Chetan and Siya reportedly had rehearsed the murder plan.
Earlier, Siya's lawyer, Vipul Dushing, had argued that her mobile phone had already been seized and that the investigators had to rely on their own expertise to analyse the data, rather than seek any additional custody. The cops are trying to investigate if a third person was involved in the murder of Ketan Agarwal.
