The man-in-form, Shubman Gill has announced that he is going to lend his voice to the Indian Spider-Man, 'Pavitr Prabhakar' in the upcoming versions of 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse'.
The young and dynamic cricketer, Shubman Gill has been making waves in the cricket world as one of the rising stars of the Indian cricket team. The right-handed opening batsman made headlines when he surpassed legendary cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar's 24-year-old ODI record for the highest individual score by an Indian player. With an impressive score of 130 runs against Zimbabwe, compared to Tendulkar's 127, the achievement was enough to cement Gill's position as a future star of Indian cricket.
On May 8, 2023, Shubman Gill took to his Instagram handle and posted a hilarious and exciting video. The video was in collaboration with Sony Pictures, as the young cricketer made a headline-breaking announcement regarding his upcoming work with the global entertainment giant. In the video, Shubman can be spotted standing in front of a microphone and with headphones around his neck.

Further in the video, the cricketer looked all set to lend his voice for the character of Indian Spider-Man, ‘Pavitr Prabhakar’, in the upcoming film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Along with the video, Shubman also penned a note in the caption in which he revealed that the film would be released in theatres on June 2, 2023. His caption can be read as:

As soon as the cricketer announced his massive collaboration with Sony Pictures for their upcoming film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Shubman Gill received mixed reactions from the netizens. While a series of people lauded the cricketer for leaving his mark in different fields, unfortunately, there were some people, who trolled him for doing the job of a voice-over artist. One user mocked Shubman and advised him to focus on cricket. The comment from the user can be read as “Focus on cricket”. Another user slammed Sony Pictures and Shubman in a nasty comment that reads:
"Ye Sony Wale hive banane k liye dub karne k liye kisi bhi celebrity ko utha laate hai... Kam se kam Jo dubbing field main expert hai unko toh kabhi promote nahi karte balki celebrity ko promote karte hai."

The reports of Shubman Gill dating Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter, Sara Tendulkar are showing no signs of calming down. Every now and then, we can see the fanpages dropping edited videos and pictures of the alleged couple, manifesting that they soon confirm their relationship.
Earlier this year, on February 14, 2023, Shubman posted an old picture from his memory lane and captioned it as “What day is it again?" The cricketer’s massive fanbase was quick to dig deep into his alleged girlfriend, Sara’s Instagram handle and found an old picture where she could be spotted sitting in the same cafe. The post confirmed that Shubman and Sara were in the same cafe in London. However, there’s still no official confirmation from their side about their dating reports. Moreover, their fans are speculating that Shubman’s Valentine’s Day post was enough to confirm their relationship.
