'Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pe Hain' Fame Shubhangi Atre Reveals Hubby Had Left His Job To Look After Their Baby

Television actress, Shubhangi Atre revealed that her hubby, Piyush Poorey had left his job to take care of their baby, who is now seventeen years old.

Television actress, Shubhangi Atre rose to fame with her acting stint as 'Angori bhabhi' in the show, Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai. The actress had marked her debut with Ekta Kapoor's serial, Kausatii Zindagi Kayy. The actress has an illustrious career. However, not many know that she is a mommy of a seventeen-year-old daughter.

Shubhangi often make headlines for her work, but not everyone knows that she had tied the knot even before her debut show. Yes, Shubhangi Atre at the age of nineteen, had got married to Piyush Poorey in 2000. The couple had a love marriage and they are parents to a beautiful daughter, whom they have named, Ashi.

Recently, in an interview with The Times Of India, Shubhangi shared that her husband had left his job to take care of their baby. Shubhangi revealed that at the age of twenty-one, she had embraced motherhood. While she was taking care of her daughter till she was one, soon she had started giving auditions to pursue her acting dream. And when she got her debut show, her husband, Piyush had left his advertising job. She said:

"I was in Pune and my husband was working in an advertisement agency. Till our baby grew a year old, I was taking care of her completely but after that, I started giving auditions. When I got shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kasturi, Piyush left his job so that I could pursue acting. Later when I settled down a bit and we figured out our schedules, he resumed work."

Shubhangi further added that her family was also supportive of her dream. Whenever she needed any help from her in-laws, they would instantly come. Shubhangi also said that no one in her family ever made her feel that her daughter is missing out on life because of her mother's work commitments.

However, when their daughter was little, it wasn't easy for the couple as they used to live in Pune and Shubhangi was working in Mumbai. The actress shared that she would go to meet her daughter on weekends. Shubhangi added that some people didn't like her decision. She said:

"While I was doing my first show and was living in Mumbai, I used to go to Pune every weekend to meet my daughter. Once they shifted here, then it got a lot easier. Initially, some people felt I wasn’t doing the right thing. Many a times I wondered too, but now my daughter Ashi says it was all worth it. The two of us are like best friends today."

Well, we love the way Shubhangi's husband, Piyush has stood like a pillar of strength in her career and personal life!
