After Karan V Grover's intimate wedding in the mountains, the latest one to join the married actors club is Shritama Mukherjee. The gorgeousness got married to her longtime beau, Akash Sahni at a plush hotel on June 23, 2022, in Mumbai. Shritama's wedding was an intimate affair with close family and friends in attendance. The actress radiated the Bengali bride glow.
For the unversed, Shritama rose to fame with her character, 'Rajkumari Jainandini' in the show, Dekha Ek Khwaab. Shritama had secretly exchanged wedding vows with Akash, who is an entrepreneur. The couple had dated for seven long years and they have even launched their own beauty brand.

For the wedding, the bride ditched the red lehenga and opted for a gorgeous red-hued saree and draped it like a sidha pallu in Bengali style. Her saree border featured scallop-detailing and half-sleeve golden blouse. She accessorised her look with a minimal neckpiece, matching earrings and a sleek maang teeka with sheesh patti. On the other hand, her groom opted for a pastel-hued sherwani with matching turban and a doshala.
In an interview with ETimes TV, Shritama talked about how love brewed between her and her husband, Akash. She shared that they had met through a common friend. She revealed how Akash had picked her up after her driver had fallen sick. She said:
"We met through a common friend. I was coming back to Mumbai after wrapping up a shoot in Bangalore. My driver fell sick so this friend suggested that his handsome hunk friend would pick me up. That's how I met him. We were friends for almost a year before we started dating. We dated for 7 years now while working on our beauty brand TGM Beauty. "

Shritama revealed that they had planned on getting married after their beauty brand was launched. She shared that they are not just life partners but also business partners. She said:
We always planned on tying the knot once the brand is launched. We launched our brand on the 9th of June and planned our wedding for the 23rd. So now, we are partners in business and for life. He's the guy of my dreams. He's smart, charismatic and a beautiful soul. I love him for the man he is. He's a complete package and I couldn't have asked for more. I am pretty excited and happy to start this new journey with my partner in all ways possible."
