'Sasural Simar Ka' Fame Dipika Kakar Talks About Her Wedding With Boyfriend Shoaib Ibrahim

In this glam world, there are a number of celebs who have fallen in love with each other whilst working together. One such couple that comes under this category is none other than Sasural Simar Ka fame actors, Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar.

The couple bagged a lot of love for their on-screen pairing and soon fell in love with each other in real life too.

Though the couple initially denied having hots for each other, but later they accepted their relationship. It has been probably three years that the couple are seeing each other and are still going strong (*touchwood*).

The actress, in fact, shared the reason of not making their relationship official in the initial phase. Here’s what Dipika was quoted as saying:

"I wanted to be sure that this relationship wasn't on the rebound. Also, we were getting to know each other better. No matter how progressive we become, being a divorcee has some kind of a social stigma attached to it in our society. I had that stamp on me. But he gave me that space and despite being aware of my past, never complained about it. He has in fact always respected that. Coming from a small town, even his parents never let me feel that. I have always longed for family. Ammi sends dabba for me when my mother is not there. I feel I am more close to his mom than him. Everything is positive and we are more at peace now."

Ever since this lovely duo officially declared their love, all their fans have been anxiously waiting for their wedding. Now the wait is finally over! This super-cute couple is soon becoming a member of the "Mr. and Mrs.'' squad.

Lately, Dipika gave us a hint of getting married when she quit her daily soap, Sasural Simar Ka. Here's what she said: 

"This time, it is final. Dipika wants to take some time off to concentrate on her personal life.”

Now, in a candid interview with a leading entertainment portal, Shoaib revealed his marriage plans with Dipika Kakar. Shoaib gushed:

"We plan to get married either in December this year or January next year. I would like to have a winter wedding. Dipika wants a grand nikaah in my hometown Bhopal."

Finally, they revealed about it! We are sure all their fans will be very happy to hear this and so are we!

Apart from this, the couple has been reigning the television world for some time now. While Shoaib made an exit from Sasural Simar Ka some time back, Dipika too exited recently after being a part of it for six long years. On being asked about this, the heartthrob stated:

"I will always support her in all decisions that make her happy. My reason to quit the show was that I was dissatisfied as an actor. However, Dipika quit because she was physically drained out. It was not easy for her to quit after six years, because as an actor, you get emotionally attached to your show. Nevertheless, we are both happy with our decision.”

In Her recent interview to Pinkvilla, when asked about her wedding date, Dipika revealed:

"You will get to hear about it very soon."

The two belong to two different religions, but that never caused any problem in their relationship. Dipika said:

"It was never an issue between us as we have our priorities sorted. We are mature people and understand each other well. Be it work or personal life, we take all decisions together as that’s how our relationship has been formed."

Talking further about their relationship, Dipika sweetly said:

"Whenever I talk about relationships, people say you are too gyaani (laughs). But I think a relationship is built by a lot of things put together and not just on one aspect. There has to be respect, transparency, loyalty, trust and a lot of love. Also, with Shoaib and me, we have still retained our friendship and that has helped us a lot. Even now, we indulge in our pillow fights and he smacks me in front of people. It’s the best way as to become lifelong partners, you have to first be each other’s best friends."
