The designer bride

Meet our bride of the week, Shloka Khialani. For the uninitiated, Shloka is a designer by profession and is the owner of a fashion label named after herself. Therefore, it is quite obvious, that the girl, who has gifted some of the best couture's to her clients would leave no stone unturned to design the best outfit for her own wedding. She tied the knot with the love of her life, Siddhant Nahata. Though the couple is based in Mumbai, for their wedding, they decided to opt for a destination wedding and got married in the mountains.

Just like any other bride and groom, pictures from their jaimala ceremony are worth melting one's heart. And the entire decor and colour combination was so soothing to the eyes that it was difficult to look away from it. Also, the picture of her prince charming, planting a peck on her cheek is pure couple goals.

While everything about the wedding was surreal, it was her outfit that stole away all the limelight. Since our bride is a designer herself, she did not rely on any big brand to get her dream wedding ensemble. Instead, she custom-made it according to her own choice and preferences. Ditching the conventional idea that a bride has to wear a red attire on her wedding or she can not wear white, the bride designed a white lehenga for her D-Day.

Shloka's wedding lehenga had intricate embroidery all over with silver zari, and she had kept the blouse in full-length sheer sleeves. Even her veil in white is worth appreciating. The bride had completed her look with a heavy neckpiece, earrings, kaleeras and a maang teeka. She also complemented her look with pastel-coloured bangles. For the makeup, she kept it minimal and looked absolutely pretty. On the other hand, her groom, Siddhant Nahata, wore a white and orange-hued sherwani from his ladylove's fashion label itself.

Shloka also designed the outfits of her bridesmaids

For her wedding, a bride not just thinks about her own self but also about her best friends, who would be her bridesmaid for the special day of her life. From arranging the best mehendi designs for them to making sure that the makeup artist gives equal importance to them, a bride has to make sure of all of it. As Shloka headed towards the mandap, it was her bridesmaids, who had caught our attention. For the most special day, Shloka chose to design an ivory lehenga for herself while she dressed all her bridesmaids in beautiful shades of pink, all custom-made to express her love for each one of them.
