In the show, Mohsin was seen as 'Kartik', while Shivangi played 'Naira'. The duo's chemistry led people to call them 'Kaira', and they started shipping the on-screen couple in real life as well. It was also reported that Shivangi and Mohsin had dated off-camera.
However, they parted ways eventually and moved on with their respective lives. Recently, Mohsin Khan hit the headlines for his personal life after getting engaged. Taking to his IG handle, Mohsin Khan shared several photos from his engagement to his ladylove, Tamanna. Not many details about Mohsin's fiancee have been publicly disclosed as of now.
However, amid Mohsin's engagement, a statement from Shivangi from the recent past made rounds on social media. The statement was about her engagement and marriage. Shivangi joined Lock Upp 2 and competed in the finale against Shreya Kalra. While Shreya won, Shivangi ended as the runner-up. While on the reality show, during a conversation with Shreya Kalra, Shivangi revealed that she wants to get married when she was asked whether she wants someone in her life. Shivangi said:
"Friend, I want to get married. Toh aakhirkar, abhi shaadi toh seedha hai.”
Following this, she also said, 'I am engaged'. While this comment was light-hearted, the clips on social media instantly sparked buzz about the actress's engagement. People also kept talking about her past relationship with Kushal Tandon after the edited clip of the actress, saying, 'I am engaged,' made the rounds on social media, leaving people to wonder if it was a joke or a serious comment. To mention, it was only a joke, as it seems, and Harshad instantly said, '(engaged) to your work,' as Shivangi revealed being engaged.
Shivangi Joshi and Harshad Chopda shared a cute chemistry on Lock Upp 2, and fans were in awe of them. People were left wondering whether anything romantic was brewing between Shivangi and Harshad; however, after the show ended, the actor revealed the truth. Harshad revealed during an interview that he has no plans to date Shivangi, while admitting he loves her only as a friend.
Harshad further mentioned that he intends not to stay in touch with any inmates. Speaking of Shivangi, during an interview, she said something about Harshad that left everyone shocked. Shivangi was asked whether her relationship with Harshad was platonic.
In response, she said 'no', leaving people wondering whether she had hinted at dating him. Later, she clarified that she had misinterpreted the question and that the actor is one of her close friends. Denying that there's anything platonic between them and stating that Harshad is a dear friend to her, Shivangi said:
"Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha tha ki ye log kya bol rahe hain, kya pooch rahe hain, and I misunderstood the question. And yes, guys, it’s very, very platonic. Harshad is a very dear friend of mine. He is a very good human and a dear friend of mine. I just misunderstood the question during that time."
