Shefali Jariwala and her husband, Parag Tyagi want to adopt a child. In a recent interaction, Shefali talked about the same and revealed her plans.
Kanta Laga fame, Shefali Jariwala, talked about her planning to extend her family with Parag Tyagi. The actress wants to embrace motherhood and is thinking of adoption. For those who don't know, Shefali was earlier married to the famous singer, Harmeet Singh. However, they parted ways in 2009. However, Shefali found love again in Parag, and his loving nature drew her close to him.
In an interview with ETimes, Shefali recently opened up about embracing motherhood through adoption. She added that she has been vocal about it, as so many children need a home. Shefali further stated that she doesn't care about the genetic linkage. She was quoted as saying:
"I have been very vocal about my deep desire to adopt a child and start a family. There are so many children out there who need a home, and we don't really care about the genetic linkage. But the process is not simple."

Shefali further expressed how the legal adoption process is not easy and emotionally taxing. She added that the normal process could take up to four years. The gorgeousness was quoted as saying:
"The legal process and numerous technicalities are tedious and emotionally taxing. It is a regulated process that can take up to four years. Just when we thought we were getting there, Covid hit, which changed a lot of dynamics and timelines for us. It has taken a toll on us, and that has made me uncertain now. As it is, there are more parents waiting than there are children in adoption agencies."
Not many know that Shefali and Parag wanted to get married in 2012 in a lavish beach wedding, but Parag's father got a heart attack, and the duo cancelled their plan. Shefali cared for him and even brought them to Mumbai to look after them. They had a hush-hush wedding in 2014 in court. In a media interaction, Shefali revealed that their wedding was so sudden that they forgot to click pictures.
