Scarlett Johansson’s appearance has sparked plastic surgery rumors since 2007. Recently, Scarlett turned heads at London’s BFI Film Festival. The 41-year-old Oscar-nominated actress was there for the premiere of her film Ray Gunn. She looked gorgeous in a red Hermes dress at the event. While the dazzling pictures of Scarlett were making rounds on the internet, some old pictures of her resurfaced online.
In 2007, US Weekly published a cover titled 'A-List Nip/Tuck' where they claimed that the Black Widow star had a nose job. At the time, Scarlett’s reps told Ok! Magazine that the star never had plastic surgery on her nose. They called the claim 'outrageous and defamatory'. Earlier, in 2004, the Black Widow actress shared in an interview that she believed in plastic surgery. Speaking to B Magazine, Scarlett said:
"Oh, I definitely believe in plastic surgery. I don't want to be an old hag; there's no fun in that. But I think if you're comfortable with yourself, then that's sexy. Maybe people think that I look sexy because I feel sexy."
In a 2025 The Glow Memo report, some doctors shared their views on Scarlett Johnson’s then-vs.-now pictures. According to doctor Sara Hahn, the actress’ teeth look different from how they looked in older pictures. Sara shared that she believed that Scarlett may have had veneers. Sara said:
"The color is definitely more white, the shape is a lot more even. The canines are the same white, and that’s never naturally occurring. But now what I’m seeing is that her dental midline is not coincident with her facial midline."
The same report claimed that when Scarlett was a teenager, her nose appeared wider, with a rounder tip. However, in more recent photographs, it looks smaller, narrower and more defined. Speaking to The Glow Memo, Dr. Gary Linkov said that he believes that the Black Widow star might have had Rhinoplasty and Alarplasty. Dr. Linkov noticed that Scarlett’s eyebrows appeared higher in a photograph from 2015 than in her older pictures.
The doctor stated the actress might have had a brow lift, a procedure that raises the eyebrows. However, Gary said Botox injections could also be possible. He also noticed that the area around her cheeks looked more hollow in a photograph from 2018, when she was 33.
By 2018, Scarlett’s appearance had shifted to a more natural and balanced look, leading many to speculate that she might have undergone breast reduction surgery or removed breast implants. Due to her appearance in The Avengers, some people also speculated that Scarlett had undergone breast augmentation. It is worth mentioning that she has never confirmed or denied having breast surgery.
In her personal life, Scarlett has been married twice. She was married to French journalist and art dealer Romain Dauriac. The former couple welcomed a daughter named Rose Dorothy Dauriac in 2014. Later, the actress went on to find love with Colin Jost.
