There is no doubt that ratings are on the rise, with more and more people switching to the show to get details on the matter. For the unversed, reports claim that Nancy Guthrie has been abducted from her home, and there have been many developments on the matter. As per the Nielsen data cited by Variety, viewership has surged by an impressive 23 per cent over the five days leading up to February 6, 2026. It means 6,24,000 viewers tuned in as compared to this time last year. It has been on top of the competition on morning network television with an audience of around 3.32 million viewers. On the other hand, ABC's Good Morning America ranks second with nearly 2.91 million viewers, and CBS's Mornings ranks third with 1.84 million viewers.

The rise is not solely attributed to viewers who want to know more about Savannah Guthrie's mother. Today is also airing the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, which is lifting the ratings in the morning hours of February. The Olympics will wrap on February 22, 2026, with the Closing ceremony. Now, after the Olympics, it remains to be seen how long they will cover the Guthrie family crisis.

The law enforcement is also constantly trying to track down thousands of tips they have received from the public. And many believe that these information act as a key in finding Nancy Guthrie. A retired detective reacted to the overwhelming number of tips that have come through. In a conversation with AZ Family, Matt was quoted as saying:

"The law enforcement, the detectives working it, they know the ins and outs of this investigation. And as soon as someone comes in with a tip, they go, 'Oh, we are missing that piece, it goes right there.' That person is now going to be interviewed and see where that tip goes to."
