Recently, Savannah Guthrie shared her first post on her Instagram handle after nearly three weeks of silence amid her mother, Nancy's missing case.
The Today show co-anchor, Savannah Guthrie has been going through a difficult phase after her mother, Nancy went missing in early 2026. It is worth mentioning that it has been more than seven weeks for Nancy's search; however, there is no major update on it. Amid that, Savannah has shared her first post on her Instagram handle.
On March 20, 2026, Savannah Guthrie took to her Instagram Stories to share her first post in a long time. For the unversed, ever since Savannah’s mother, Nancy has gone missing, the Today show co-anchor has only shared posts regarding her mother. However, the last post she shared was on March 3, 2026, after which there was complete silence.
Well, she has finally broken that silence by sharing a video clip on World Down Syndrome Day. In the same, Savannah's co-hosts were talking to a few people who were involved in non-profit Best Buddies, which supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The clip also featured a girl with a sign that said, “We love you Savannah” in capital letters. Savannah shared the video clip with three yellow heart emojis.
Nearly three weeks before sharing the video clip on her Instagram stories, on March 3, 2026, Savannah Guthrie shared a post of multiple sunflowers, in which she thanked everyone for their prayers. Further, she also requested everyone to continue praying for her mother, Nancy until she is found. The caption of the same could be read as:
"We feel the love and prayers from our neighbours, from the Tucson community and from around the country. Please don’t stop praying and hoping with us. Bring her home."
The disappearance of Nancy Guthrie has been one of the most talked-about subjects since the past 2 months. For the unversed, Nancy, who is 84-years-old, went missing on January 31, 2026, from her home. It is worth mentioning that a complaint was filed the next day when she failed to show up for church. After a proper investigation began, surveillance footage showed a masked man outside Nancy's house. Blood traces were found too.
As of now, it's been more than six weeks that there is no solid update on Nancy and there has been no arrest. Apart from this, reports also suggest that more than one person could be involved in her disappearance. On March 12, 2026, Chris Nanos shared his thoughts on Nancy's missing case. He was quoted as saying:
"We believe we know why [the kidnapper] did this and we believe that it was targeted, but we’re not 100% sure of that. I think day one, we had some strong beliefs about what happened and those beliefs haven’t diminished."
