Savannah Guthrie once again recalled her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who has been missing for more than 100 days now, in a touching Mother's Day tribute post.
Today show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie had a deeply emotional Mother's Day as she remembered her missing mom, Nancy Guthrie. The 84-year-old has been missing for more than three months now, and Savannah shared a heartfelt tribute online for her. At the same time, she took the opportunity to once again plead with people to help her in finding her mother. For those unaware, Nancy went missing from her home in Arizona on February 1, 2026. Despite a massive search operation and investigation, the FBI and local authorities have been unable to find any breakthroughs in the case.
On Mother's Day, Savannah Guthrie shared an emotional Instagram reel once again. It was filled with old family memories featuring Nancy, her grandchildren, and Savannah's siblings. The touching montage showcased her happier moments, especially with her mother and sister, Annie. In turn, it has also highlighted the pain Savannah's family is carrying since Nancy disappeared. Sharing an emotional caption, she penned:
"Mother, daughter, sister, Nonie — we miss you with every breath. We will never stop looking for you. We will never be at peace until we find you."
At the same time, Savannah also urged the public to continue helping the investigators by sharing any useful information with the FBI. She admitted that they need "help". The TV anchor wrote, "Someone knows something that can make the difference." Savannah also reminded people that credible anonymous tips will be rewarded with money. In the past several weeks, Savannah also mentioned how her Mother's disappearance has taken an emotional toll on her faith and mental health. In fact, she admitted that she has been struggling with uncertainty and unanswered questions. According to Savannah, the most difficult part has been not knowing if her mother is alive or not.
On the other hand, Savannah has also acknowledged the painful chance that her mother might not be alive. In her earlier video statement, she mentioned that her family believes in miracles and hopes for one. Despite the heartbreaking thought, Savannah has also emphasized that her family needs answers and closure. Meanwhile, internet users also got emotional watching her post. One user penned, "Sobbing, my heart hurts for you, and your family, Savannah. Sending so much love and prayers." Another person commented, "Still thinking of Nancy and praying for her family. Miracles still happen."
Apart from Savannah, her husband, Michael Feldman, also shared a heartfelt Mother's Day message dedicated to her. He shared several family photos featuring Savannah and their two children. He also praised his wife's strength during this difficult period. Savannah shares two children: a son, Charles' Charly Max, and a daughter, Vale with Michael. In turn, he penned:
"To the strongest person I know. Surrounding you with love on Mother's Day."
Meanwhile, the investigation into Nancy Guthrie's missing case has continued to draw criticism against Pima County Sheriff, Chris Nanos. He is responsible for overseeing the case with the FBI. Still, the lack of any breakthrough has drawn criticism. At the same time, Chris is facing an ongoing separate public criticism unrelated to Nancy Guthrie's disappearance. According to CBS News reports, two members of the Pima County Board of Supervisors have called for action against Chris.
They alleged that he gave misleading testimony in a separate legal matter connected to his earlier law enforcement career in Texas. Supervisor, Dr. Matt Heinz, publicly stated that the Sheriff has "lost the confidence of the community" and should step down. The allegations relate to his time at the El Paso Police Department, specifically allegations of excessive use of force.
