The Today co-host, Savannah Guthrie’s mother, the 84-year-old, Nancy Guthrie's disappearance has become a nationwide concern. For the unversed, Nancy went missing on February 1, 2026, from her home near Tucson, Arizona. Now that the case entered the eighth week, the Guthrie family issued a statement drawing attention to the highly-publicised Nancy Guthrie abduction case. But it was the most recent post on Instagram Stories that caught our attention.

A while ago, Savannah Guthrie shared a religious note on her Instagram Stories. The picture in the background features The Transfiguration of Jesus, an important New Testament event. For the unversed, Jesus appears as a divine entity with Moses and Elijah. In simple words, a divine voice instructs people to listen to Jesus, who is God’s son. Sharing this relevant picture, Savannah wrote, "I believe, I believe." This most recent Story signified that Savannah is still hopeful about her mom, Nancy’s safe return and believes in Jesus for the same.

Savannah Guthrie and her family deeply miss Nancy Guthrie

On March 22, 2026, Savannah Guthrie and her family shared an official statement drawing attention to Nancy Guthrie’s missing case. In the particular statement, they expressed their grief over Nancy’s disappearance. The Guthrie family mentioned that they deeply missed the 84-year-old Nancy. They highlighted that their only focus is to find out Nancy’s whereabouts and safely bring her back home. They added that they wanted to celebrate Nancy’s beautiful and courageous life, but they can’t do that until she returns. An excerpt from the statement can be read as:

"We miss our mom with every breath, and we cannot be at peace until she is home. We cannot grieve; we can only ache and wonder. Our focus is solely on finding her and bringing her home. We want to celebrate her beautiful and courageous life, but we cannot do that until she is brought to a final place of rest."

In the official statement, the Guthrie family asked the Tucsonans and the greater Southern Arizona to renew attention to the Nancy Guthrie missing case. They shared that it might be possible that a member of this community has key information but doesn’t know its significance. They desperately asked the community to consult camera footage, journal notes, text messages, observations, or conversations that can bring a new angle to the case. They wrote:

"We continue to believe it is Tucsonans, and the greater Southern Arizona community, that hold the key to finding a resolution in this case. Someone knows something. It's possible a member of this community has information that they do not even realise is significant. We desperately ask this community for renewed attention to our mom's case - please consult camera footage, journal notes, text messages, observations, or conversations that, in retrospect, may hold significance. No detail is too small. It may be the key."

Savannah Guthrie and her family are offering a whopping amount as a reward for information that leads to Nancy’s whereabouts

According to multiple reports, Savannah and her family are offering USD 1 million as a reward for information leading to Nancy’s whereabouts. An additional amount of USD 100,000 reward is offered by the FBI. Earlier, Nancy’s elder son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, was on the suspect list. But he has been ruled out by the Pima County Sheriff's Department. On March 2, 2026, Tommasso, with his wife, Annie and Savannah, visited Nancy’s house. A video of them hugging each other had surfaced online.
