And during the premiere of their film, the two moms have reflected on the one thing that has stayed the same even though a long time has passed.
Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman were seen on the carpet for the premiere of Practical Magic 2 on August 31, 2026 (ET). However, they first met 30 years ago, and a lot has changed since then. The actresses are now mothers and successful stars. Nonetheless, in a conversation with PEOPLE, Sandra joked that there's one thing that hasn't changed for her and Nicole, and that was their breasts. She was quoted as saying:
"Our boobs. They're still in the same place."
Sandra Bullock claimed that it was "amazing", while Nicole Kidman mirrored her sentiments and alleged that another thing that hasn't changed in 30 years is their "sense of humor". For the unversed, the gorgeous friends are returning to the big screen to play the magical Massachusetts sisters 'Sally' and 'Gillian Owens' in the hotly anticipated sequel to the 1998 original Practical Magic.
During the interaction, they also touched upon offering others advice, given that their on-screen characters are famously known to pass on their wisdom. Talking about the same, Nicole Kidman told the publication that "a lot of times people don't want advice. They just want to vent, or they want to talk". Sandra Bullock shared her sentiment and revealed that she avoids giving any advice. She was quoted as saying:
"I try not to give advice. I'm like, if someone asks me for information, I'm happy to share it [but] I try not to give advice until someone says, 'What do you think?' I just keep my mouth shut."
Talking about their film, Practical Magic 2 marks the return of Sandra Bullock to the big screen after the death of her longtime partner Bryan Randall in August 2023. Sandra previously appeared in the 2022 film The Lost City and Bullet Train. The star recently opened up about Bryan's death and his private battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
During an August 17, 2026, appearance on Sean Hayes, Jason Bateman and Will Arnett's SmartLess podcast, Sandra Bullock revealed that she learned a lot about herself while grieving Bryan Randall. She shared how it was Bryan who had "asked me not to share," his diagnosis. "I wasn't allowed to speak about it. That was the request and I tried — I honored it." She further added:
"Other things can frustrate me, things can upset me, I get pissed off, I get petty, but there's a — I'm so happy, and I feel like I'm a kid for the first time in my life as I'm seeing things that I've seen a million times before. But now I see them with such a love that I didn't have before. It's just — yes, I have a great therapist. Yes, I think I did the right thing with the kids. Yes, I did usher out Brian the way a human being deserves to be ushered out. I didn't take care of myself then, but I do take care of myself now."
