YouTuber, Samay Raina, who had deleted all the episodes of his YouTube show, India's Got Latent, after the IGL controversy, recently made a comeback to social media and work. The comedian also reunited with his co-panellist, Apoorva Mukhija, after the controversy back in February 2025. Taking to his Instagram Stories, Samay shared a picture of Apoorva, while raising a toast. For the unversed, this is the first time that the duo was seen together after the IGL row.
For the uninitiated, Apoorva was one of the co-panellists on the controversial episode of Samay’s show, India's Got Latent. However, after the controversy surrounding the show happened, the duo became inactive on social media. Now, for the first time after the IGL controversy, Samay shared a picture of Apoorva on his Instagram Stories. In the picture, it seemed like the duo had gone out for dinner. While the duo was raising a toast, Apoorva was seen smiling when the candid picture was clicked.
Samay posted a candid picture of Apoorva with King Magneto’s song, Sensations. Apoorva, a.k.a The Rebel Kid, reshared the post and reacted to the song selection. Her reaction implied that she didn’t expect it and was just quite stunned by Samay’s song selection in her picture. Resharing the post, she wrote with crying and laughing emojis:

Samay Raina made a comeback on Instagram on May 14, 2025, with a video and a bunch of pictures featuring his family and friends. The stand-up comedian also announced starting a world tour including Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand from June 5, 2025. Taking to his Instagram Stories, Samay posted a series of photos, featuring him doing gym, meeting Tanmay Bhatt, video calling his parents and dining with Apoorva. Following the bunch of pictures, Samay wrote an emotional note. The heartfelt note by Samay can be read as:
“Aaj kuch zyaada hi storyiaan daaldi. Bohot ghutan si thi yaar kya bataau kaafi nikal diya ek saath hi. I love you all. I’m so happy to be experiencing all this love. I can’t wait to see you guys in my shows abroad and in India. I’m so grateful to all of you.”
The IGL row started in February 2025 after YouTuber, Ranveer Allahbadia's crass remarks on parental intimacy. Apoorva’s vulgar comment on the show further fuelled the controversy. YouTuber, Ashish Chanchlani, and comedian, Jaspreet Singh were among the other panellists.
Following the nationwide outrage after the insensitive remarks on India's Got Latent, the Mumbai Police summoned both Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina. Apoorva, too, appeared at Khar police station after Mumbai police called her to record her statement. The Assam police also registered a case of obscenity against Samay, Apoorva, Ranveer and the others present in the controversial episode.
